Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Well, that's going to be difficult to handle.
If Marvel decides to recast Shuri, people who want T'Challa recast are going to accuse them of being hypocrites for not doing so for Chadwick Boseman while willing to find someone else for Shuri.
If they keep her on, it'll look bad for PR, and could potentially be incredibly dangerous if Wright actually manages to convince more people to buy into the anti-vax theories she's sharing.

Oh man, and if they end up changing their minds about not recasting T'Challa, people will still call them hypocrites after saying they wouldn't.
And as someone on Twitter described it, having Wright be the next BP would be like subbing Pedro Pascal for Gina Carano on The Mandalorian.

I wouldn't go that far. Both Wright and Carano are bad people, but I consider Carano significantly worse. At least Wright deleted her social media immediately, and tried to go underground after she revealed who she really was. Carano was actively hateful and troll-like with her online actions, whereas Wright seems to be more of a stubborn, uninformed idiot.
But I agree with the point you're trying to make.

"I'm Mr. Blue, woah-woah-ooh..."There's no good solution to this.
They're gonna get set a flame no matter what they do.
One Strip! One Strip! They're definitely going in on Ironheart, if what I've heard about Wakanda Forever is true.
Oh yeah, we also have Monica Rambeau. I bet she's gonna get some good action in The Marvels and / or Secret Invasion.
And Armor Wars for Rhodey. Anybody else I'm forgetting?

"I'm Mr. Blue, woah-woah-ooh..."Its a big issue for Black Panther since he is his own hero.
The other characters like Rhodey and Monica are legacy heroes or part of ensemble casts like Storm.
The Black Panther though stands alone. He doesn't have to share anything with a white guy, he is a black superhero has his own mythology all to himself. So its sad that BP is experiencing all this difficulty.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."They might or they might not, who knows. We'll have to wait and see.
Though it be pretty cool to see a Wanda with actual agency going against Magneto.

Though Wanda Vision was already kind of a House of M adaptation.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."

I only have a basic grasp of Marvel lore, but I'm leaning towards no.
Hey. So, anyone remember when Letitia Wright shared some really controversial things about the COVID-19 vaccines?
Hollywood Reporter is saying she's apparently still doing it on the set of BP2.
(Emphasis is mine.)
The part about her "parting ways with her U.S. team of representatives" has more than certainly set off some huge red flags for me...
Pagetopper.
