Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Honestly apparently the training for his accent
in A Star Is Born (2018) was nuts; they could've done Cockney if they wanted.
I do kind of miss the cockney Rocket accent, but the harsh Brooklyn accent Cooper goes for him works too. If they ever feature Blackjack O'hare in the MCU, they should give him the cockney drawl as a Mythology Gag.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Before it was a Cockney accent, not an imitation of Bradley Cooper's Brooklyn.
Ya know the funniest thing of the Guardians in EMH? Rocket respecting Quill. At a point in the episode Rocket basically goes to the Avengers "His name is the Star Lord, respect him!"
Unthinkable now considering he has barely any respect for Quill for the most part.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Going back to the idea that the Avengers should have grouped against Thanos in Wakanda
Guy threw a moon
Forever liveblogging the AvengersGalactus but he inexplicably sounds like a Deep South hick.
I mean, it's not much more of a departure than his last movie appearance...
Yes, how dare we forget Miss Minutes! I don't care if my Tara Strong bias is showing, everything character she becomes legendary.
Also, I really hope we get to see more of her and the TVA in other MCU stories. I don't want them dominating the story like they do in Loki, but it would be fun to see TVA minutemen and analysts pop up now and again. And more Miss Minutes jumpscares would be fun. Maybe have one of the heroes react in-universe to it.
"I'm Mr. Blue, woah-woah-ooh..."Not Marvel, but I've always liked the idea of Superman having a southern accent. I think the only media to ever try it out is Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths.

Having watched the MCU version of the team first, it was kind of surreal watching the Guardians appear in Earth's Mightiest Heroes and how different they were. Gamora and Drax are absent, Star-Lord's a pretty straight-forward leader, Adam Warlock and Quasar are on the team, and Rocket's got a Cockney-accent.
