Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Tony’s reasoning was sound
Keep the fight away from Earth, keep the damage away from it too
Upside: have a chance of taking Thanos by surprise instead of waiting for him to come to you
It’s just Thanos is the biggest beefiest boy and had gotten all but two of the stones prior to the fight so could muscle through a legitimately great ambush and battle strategy

Forever liveblogging the AvengersHypothetical.
But if say Magneto does appear, we'll prolly get the story of him actually transitioning to hero-status and member of the X-Men like how they managed to capture Wanda being at first a villain and then becoming a hero.
Its a contrast to how the Foxmen never could move on from Magneto being a villain and around the end constantly snap backed him, even if the previous film ended with him making a transition away from being the villain.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I really don't want Magneto to be Wanda and Pietro's father. Especially after WandaVision. That ship has sailed, sad to say.

"I'm Mr. Blue, woah-woah-ooh..."At this point, it would just be empty fanservice.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.I'm actually hoping Marvel delays introducing Mephisto just so they don't cave into all the speculation and memes about the character.
I also hope Multiverse of Madness isn't going to have glorified Fox X-Men appearances just to please everyone. I was similarly upset with the Multiverse aspect of No Way Home at first, though I've since come around on it.
...I grew up on Sam Raimi too man. I'm not perfect.
"I'm Mr. Blue, woah-woah-ooh..."Speaking of Raimi, I only just noticed that Oz the Great and Powerful was playing in Westview during the last episode of WandaVision. That complicates things a bit too much because it's a movie directed by Raimi, and its Wicked Witch of the East is Rachel Weisz (Melina).
Okey Dokey!James Franco will also be in NWH as *shot by Marvel sniper*
It also played The Incredibles, which had Sam Jackson as the voice of Frozone.
And the whole existence of Malcolm in the Middle in the MCU complicates things when Bryan Cranston appeared in Godzilla with Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, while Breaking Bad had Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones) as Jane Margolis.
Okey Dokey! That makes no fucking sense, its a fucking Doctor Strange movie.
Are people collectively high on bath salts now?
"In the Multiverse of Madness" kind of lends itself to speculation that we could see characters get pulled in from other continuities, especially since NWH is going to set precedent that this can include characters from other franchisesnote .
Now what I certainly don't expect is for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness to be an X-Men movie in disguise. But I'm also not going to fall out of my seat in shock if there's a post credit scene revealing that Deadpool and a couple of his supporting cast ended up stranded in the MCU as a side effect of all the multiverse shenanigans that happen in the movie.

I don’t see why actor paradox is a problem
You just do what the Simpsons do and go “yeah Sideshow Bob sure sounds like Frasier from Frasier”
Forever liveblogging the AvengersYeah, it's just something that's fun to discuss. That is, unless it's a case where the different actor literally means something different in-universe like with WandaVision... it just didn't mean what we thought it did.

Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks Marathon

There's also the fact that the Time Stone being on Earth wouldn't change the fact that Thanos would still beat the shit out of the divided Avengers regardless.
