Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

We didn't find that out until well after the show was over, mind. The theorycraft was done at that point.
My only unanswered question — that I assume will eventually be answered — vis a vis Strange and Wanda is that Strange snatched up Loki after he walked around New York for 30 minutes and let the Westview charade go on for [insert period of time]. I get that traffic to New Jersey is bad, but...
They avoid New Jersey.
I'm looking forward to a possible duel between the two that rivals Strange's duel with Thanos.
Because as others have said, you have Weak, but Skilled (Strange) on one side, Powerful But Unskilled (Wanda) on the other.

Okey Dokey! It’s funny but Wanda is so powerful but unskilled that learning the most basic ass magic lessons makes her even scarier
Forever liveblogging the AvengersIn other news, set videos have apparently leaked of Andrew Garfield in No Way Home. I'd link to it, but the posts I saw have been taken down, so I guess it's legit.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks Marathon
Here's a 4K one that's still up.
I wondered that too, but you can clearly see the glove of another Spidey costume on the left talking to him, but it's hard to tell if it's Tobey or Tom's.

Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks Marathon... my immediate question is - since it's just a video of Andrew in the suit in front of a bluescreen with no context - is that from Far From Home, or a behind the scenes clip from one of the Garfield films? Sony would copyright it regardless of where it came from.
Another oddity is how these clips were apparently online for ages, yet are only being taken down now. If it was immediate, I'd see it, but the behavior here is odd.

I considered that too, but then I did some digging and discovered that Amazing 2 used green screens instead of blue
. And he's wearing the ASM 2 suit here, so it can't be from the first one.
'Eternals' will also get the same 45-day theatrical exclusive release as 'Shang-Chi'
, as will some of their other films in the pipeline (“West Side Story,” “Ron’s Gone Wrong” and “The King’s Man”); "Encanto" gets a 30-day window.
Looks like Disney was happy with how 'Shang-Chi' turned out.

One of those is definitely Deadpool 3, and another is possibly Cap 4. There’s some kind of upcoming mutant / X-Men project, so maybe that’s one as well.
We haven’t heard hide or hair of any upcoming “team up” film, which is interesting. Granted, phase 4 is still in its early stages, but it’s still also worth thinking about. If they are doing Young Avengers, all the characters they’re speculated to use should be established by then.

If the dates are for MCU projects in general and not just movie release dates, one of them could probably be Loki season 2.
Disney100 Marathon | DreamWorks MarathonThe article was about Disney's theatrical release plans, so def movies.
Maybe the last is Blade? Or maybe they could get one of those done by end of '23 — there's apparently nothing there yet
— and the '24 date is something else.
