Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Apparently it's a video of a video of the trailer and was uploaded on Tik Tok.

Saw the leak.
Quick rundown. Opening is Peter hanging out with MJ. Now that his identity is known his life has gotten crazier, they show him being interviewed about the drones by the government. Aunt May is also being questioned by someone in an interrogation room. Everyone at school knows his identity and all of Midtown High is staring at him when he walks through the door.
Peter goes to visit Doctor Strange to ask for help. Strange finds a spell that should erase everyone's memories, Wong warns him not to do it because it's dangerous. Strange uses the spell anyway, but Peter gets upset when he realizes it'll erase everyones memories, including MJ, Aunt May and Ned. He voices his concern to Strange during the ritual and Strange tells him to stop distracting him. Something goes wrong and dire consequences ensue.
Unfinished CGI of Peter doing flips around a shifting landscape like in the Doctor Strange movie while a worried Strange says they tampered with the sanctity of space-time and that he knows "frighteningly little" about the Multiverse. The last shot is Peter on a highway being confronted by Alfred Molina as Doc Ock, who grins and says "Hello, Peter."
Cool stuff.

Holy crap.
I guess the moral of the story is "studios shouldn't be so darn radio silent because some dedicated internet people can (and will) reveal big movie trailers via mad leaking/hacking skills"?

There's more than a billion people in the globe. As crazy as it sounds, it probably isn’t super far-fetched that at least some people are more adept at hacking into big time corporations to some degree?
Maybe?
I don't know, hackers and leakers are unpredictable AF.

I'm laughing at the fact that MCU/Sony!Peter now has his own version of One More Day.
Also laughing because of the sort of similarity with Wanda's many reality-altering antics in the comics. So, I find it amusing that Peter and Strange did something of that scale and negative consequences.
