Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Ross may or may not still be holding Abomination’s leash.
I mean, probably not given the fight club thing in Shang Chi, but I wouldn’t necessarily be surprised if that turned out to be him - say - proverbially chained up or controlled in a way that the stinger or something revealed was Ross’ or Contessa’s control.
I personally like to imagine that someone within the Ten Rings moved Abomination to China, so that the Mandarin can use him as a Sakaar-style killing machine.
Though he'll presumably have to be released so that he can appear in She-Hulk.

"I'm Mr. Blue, woah-woah-ooh..."Unsure how exactly we deal with rumors here but it is now being rumored that Marvel Studios will soon be filming a D+ adaptation of
Werewolf by Night. This comes shortly after an interview with Kevin Smith where he revealed he wasn't able to use the character in his now-cancelled Howard the Duck Hulu series.
All aboard the Midnight Sons train baybeeeeeeeeeeeee.
Jack Russell Terror, Werewolf by Night
Unless they’re adapting the more recent version
Forever liveblogging the Avengers![]()
IIRC, once the Comics Code Authority cleared monsters that were based in literary traditions, Marvel dove in the deep end. The Tomb of Dracula, Werewolf by Night, The Frankenstein Monster, etc.

Some buzz on social media today
because Kirsten Dunst was out for a stroll near Gower Studios with Daredevil's Deborah Ann Woll
Edited by Zarius on Aug 4th 2021 at 12:35:51 PM
Kirsten Dunst was in Raimi’s Spider-Man, and Woll was in Daredevil, which means they’ll both appear in the No Way Home Spider-Verse, alongside Pepe Silvia.
Reincorporated? Was it made non-canon?. I think all the Netflix shows were originally supposed to be canon to the movies (ostensibly, at least).

Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project! Its canon in the same way Agents of Shield was, which is to say unless and until a movie/D+ contradicts it which point its just EU material. Netflix shows are also to my knowledge basically Exiled from Continuity because they still have the rights to those specific versions of the characters, so any follow up would have to be some negotiation between Netflix and Disney.

To be fair, just because they can’t make new stuff doesn’t mean the old stuff can’t be part of the same universe.

Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project! In a Head Canon way, sure, but they're not going to talk about or Call-Back to the events of, say, Daredevil season 3 the way they will Endgame.
Not sure if I buy it myself, but nothing's really stopping Marvel from doing a rebooted Daredevil that just so happens to be played by Charlie Cox, right?
And not long ago, we got someone saying Vincent D'Onofrio was coming back as Kingpin via the Hawkeye D+ series.
Coincidence? Probably, but wishful thinking is nice once in a while.

If Valentina Allegra de Fontaine is working for Thunderbolt Ross, it could be why she's recruited Yelena Belova, John Walker and possibly Baron Zemo to work for her. Although considering that only one of those characters is superhuman, I can't imagine that they're capable of taking on anything too powerful at the moment.
