Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Today in Spoiled by the Merchandise, some
more toys
for No Way Home went up that seem to more or less confirm what everyone already suspected but that Marvel itself is still curiously secretive about.
Note that the Tweet that pointed this out was taken down and now a number of the stores that had the original listings have since updated to remove the bolded bits.

It’s August, summer is in its second half, and still no No Way Home trailer.
The only thing I can think of to drop it off during as a major event tagalong is the premiere of football season, and that’s in September. Seems like too long a wait, don’t you think?
The scale of the rumors though. I still remember when I thought it was just going to be an adaptation of “24 hours till Doomsday!”

We're not getting a trailer for No Way Home because it's not coming out in December. Plain and simple.
They haven't changed the date officially but the fact that we've heard nothing in terms of a trailer despite coming out in four months suggests a December release is looking more and more unlikely.
Considering The Stinger was JJ, I figured “24 hours till Doomsday!” was a good story to focus on their bizarre relationship.
I don't think I ever saw an official source on this but it was generally accepted as a widely believed rumor that the Sony Marvel agreement meant Spider-Man movies had to be released in the lucrative December month. Its very possible that the realities of the pandemic have gotten them to agree to push it back though.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI think part of the reason people are more invested in multiversal stuff is because there exists a greater chance of being able to adapt any and all versions of superheroes/villains that exist in other mediums. Spider-Verse kinda capitalized on that, and now people kinda want more. Hence why What If exists, and is loosely adapting stuff like the Marvel Zombies comic.
"I'm Mr. Blue, woah-woah-ooh..."Its like the sore tooth that Marvel and the fans can't stop poking at.

“She then tries to talk to him about the Harrow case, only to discover that Tony has no idea that he is in the midst of a lawsuit. She explains how Accutech, an old Stark subsidiary and it's vice-president stole repulsor technology designs created by Jonas Harrow. Stark remembers Eddie Finch and recounts how he embezzled money from the company and ran unauthorized tests and had since been fired. She then convinces Tony to quietly write Mrs. Harrow a reasonable check to make this go away and perhaps rethink having so much automation within his company. Tony is impressed and agrees to her terms, calling her magnificent.”
The teal deer is that he didn’t but one of his subsidiary companies did and she tells him to be more aware of what people are doing in his name
