Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

BW opens with $80 million domestically and $215 million globally
.
Here's a thought:
The Iron Fist is a title/powerset passed down through the generations, right? So bringing Iron Fist into the MCU doesn't necessarily require bringing in Danny Rand. They could introduce a new Iron Fist, and imply the events of the Netflix series might or might not be true, Broad Strokes style.
An interesting note about this is that Disney actually disclosed the Premier Access revenue this time; the film garnering $60 million and counting from the option alone.
- $80M at the domestic box office
- $78M in international box office
- $60M in Disney+ Premier Access (With an implied majority from the US, according to the Deadline analysis.)
So yeah they’re definitely going to cough up the dough to try to get Scar Jo to do another one.
I could see Peter turning up as an example of something "good" Tony achieved, but dang, let Peter move on all ready.
Sam seems fairly likely given the apparent friendship between Rhody and Sam that developed during their time as anvengers together.
Stilt man is a must.

Have to agree. I don't love the shirt with arrowhead logo.
Hawkeye is one superhero who needs to lean into the sensational and showman sides of superheroes
