Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I suppose there's a slight difference between "formally on the Avengers team" and "involved in the next Avengers movie", since the latter is a bit easier to answer I'll go with:
Everyone with an announced solo film aside from Black Widow. So Shang-Chi, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Thor, Ant-Man, Wasp, Captain America (Sam Wilson), and Blade.
I'll also add in Sersi from the Eternals, whoever the lead of the next Black Panther movie is, Ms. Marvel, Jane Foster, the Fantastic Four, and Scarlet Witch.
Carol Danvers and Kamala Khan are both possibilities depending on how The Marvels ends and the precise nature of the threat, as are the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Since Loki is literally just around the corner, who's up for a bowl of Loki Charms?
Yes, this is an actual cereal. The catch is that there will only be 3500 of these and they can only be bought via MischievouslyDelicious.com beginning at 11 a.m. ET on Wednesday, June 9th (because that's when the show comes out). That said, if anyone wants early access to this special cereal can head to the website to crack an encryption code. The first 1000 who cracks said code will score early access to the limited time cereal before anyone else gets to.
Tenoch Huerta rumored to play
Sub-Mariner in Black Panther 2.
Looks like the film rights issues with Universal have finally been resolved.

Taking with a grain of salt for now since Illuminerdi doesn't always have the best scoops.
But if it's true that Namor is really coming to BP2, then it's going to hurt even more not having Boseman.
What's tricky is that we still don't know if BP2 is set during the five years or after Endgame. Either way, both would end up making the "earthquake under the ocean" bit straight-up foreshadowing. (And yeah, I know the recast still isn't happening. Gotta get that in my head.)
While Wade was time traveling to save Vanessa, he missed out on the Fox buyout and was alarmed, upon return, to find out that the universe he returned to isn't the same; rather, he and Vanessa are now Disney properties.
This is very similar to Scott Lang missing the Snap because he was in the Quantum Realm, a reference that Deadpool can totally make in the film.
At some point in the film, he can seek out Negasonic Teenage Warhead. She's an Inhuman. That they're saying she got her powers from "some stupid fish oil thing from a spinoff TV series that probably isn't even canon anymore" is a fact that infuriates Deadpool beyond measure.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.One big caveat to this is that this by no means suggests that a Namor solo movie is on the way. Even if the rights issues with Universal have been cleared up Universal likely still has right of first refusal for solo movies, much like Hulk.
"The devil's got all the good gear. What's God got? The Inspiral Carpets and nuns. Fuck that." - Liam GallagherNamor is an increasingly expected choice for a typical Black Panther sequel given the comics increasing pissing-contest rivalry between him and T'Challa.
Unfortunately Wakanda Forever is not going to be a typical sequel due to Boseman's passing. Curious what they'll do with Namor with T'Challa off the table (at least immediately).
I mean, I can still feasibly see Wakanda Forever as being set during the five-year gap between Infinity War and Endgame in the sense that when Wakanda mourns T'Challa's passing, Namor pops up and demands a duel with its king because it and Atlantis has had it out for each other for centuries. (Perhaps another truth the Wakandian kings chose to omit?) When Namor is told of T'Challa's death, he's like, "whelp, guess I'll take over then!" And Wakanda learns to be strong without their king. But one problem is Letitia Wright is supposed to be in WF and Shuri was among those who got Snap'd according to background stuff from Endgame. Maybe Shuri's presence is via pre-recorded messages or an A.I.? Another problem is that making WF a midquel to the events of IW and EG means having to deal with the fact that EG brings back T'Challa and Feige said recasting was a no-no...
Someone on Reddit suggested that an Atlantean (maybe Namor or Attuma or someone else) outright kills T'Challa, but that sounds like they'd have to resort to deep-faking and they said they wouldn't do that, right? Plus, it just sounds way too unceremonious.
Yeah, I don't see them "killing" Black Panther on-screen. Deepfaking a deceased actor just to make us watch him die a second time is rather cruel.
They'd probably just treat it like Peggy's funeral from Civil War or Steve's(?) from F&WS; have some sort of respectful ceremony mourning an off-screen death.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! At most he’s had minis and one-shots.
Like whatever that one story that portrayed him as a fish monster out of the deep.

He is immensely despicable on a personal level considering how he can’t take no for an answer with Sue.
