Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

The big fight in Endgame requires watching multiple times, with occasional freeze frames, to be able to appreciate in all its glory. There is so much happening at once that it is hard to not only notice it on the first go, but also remember it (or maybe it is just me).
Whatever your favourite work is, there is a Vocal Minority that considers it the Worst. Whatever. Ever!.I love the endgame fight scene but it has a bit of a problem with colors. The damp orange sunset lighting on the ashen-grey/dirty brown battlefield makes things blend between themselves (particularly Thanos's army, which is more or less the same color as the dirt surrounding them) so it does indeed require a lot of reviewing to properly take in.
The individual moments are usually fine enough (particularly with heroes with distinctive color schemes like the big three), but the wide shots can be tricky.
Personally the Battle in Titan is still my favorite of larger showdowns and variety of powers at hand.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Random thought of the day: if you could cast Henry Cavill in any Marvel role, what role would it be?
Thee obvious answer is Hyperion, but I don't think Feige would want to adapt the Squadron Supreme. As an (anti) hero, he could make a good Namor or Punisher. As a villain, I think he could make for an interesting Doctor Doom or Mister Sinister.
I agree he would do a fine Namor.
Whatever your favourite work is, there is a Vocal Minority that considers it the Worst. Whatever. Ever!.Agreed, it's a careful needle to thread and avoid Yellow Peril implications but there's instances of Namor explicitly stating that he does not consider himself a white European. Personally I wouldn't mind a Desi Namor too.

x2 Huh. I did not know that, but it does make sense with what I do know about his character.
I mean, I'm not an expert on either character, but Namor and Aquaman are ussually characterized very differently. Like, Namor can toe the hero/villian/anti-hero line in a way that Aquaman can't.

Namor is possibly half Scottish based on his last name
But who can say
Forever liveblogging the Avengers> He's also terrible with women, just ask Sue Storm who's had to fend off his advancements for the entirety of the time they've known each other.
I'd have no issue with not having that particular characterization,if that makes him less and unlikeable and more Aquaman lite so be it
have a listen and have a link to my discord server![]()
Any Sue Storm who accepts Namor's advances is a trash person.
Seriously Namor is the bottom of the bin kind of guy you only go out with if you are left with no other option.
Like Sue in Spider-Man: Life Story, left Reed for the absolute worst person she could pick. Even Doom is a better option.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."

During the 2019 Christmas holidays I decided to rewatch all the MCU movies from the beginning. It was quite strange to rediscover Iron Man 1 and 2, which do their best to make it feel as if they could almost be happening in our universe, after having watched Endgame and Captain Marvel.
