Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I don't know if it was already mentioned but these seem like the official lengths of the series.
- Moon Knight, Loki and Falcon & Winter Soldier: 6 episodes of 40-50 minutes.
- She-hulk: 10 episodes of 30 minutes.
It makes sense, because the three series above will surely be designed to have a format in which they are basically long movies, while She-Hulk will surely be a sitcom.

I really like that suggestion. I vaguely had the idea of Olivia taking over Gwen's body / an alternate universe Oliva that took over Gwen's body, but his idea is simpler and I think better.
Not sure what I think though about his idea of Ock romancing the female equivalent of himself.
Superior!Peter B. makes a lot of sense because Peter B. is a particularly unsuccessful (or arguably faithfully unsuccessful) version of Peter. So, the plotline of Ock "improving" Peter's life would be a natural fit.

MCU Victoria Hand was killed in 2014 tho, back when Ao S was getting cameos from movie characters.
I had forgotten Victoria Hand appeared in the movies before Agents of Shield, when was that?
Whatever your favourite work is, there is a Vocal Minority that considers it the Worst. Whatever. Ever!.Ah, OK. Then there is nothing preventing the character from appearing in the films, given how they have been consistently ignoring the series (and AoS has been ignoring the movies more and more as the seasons went by anyway).
Whatever your favourite work is, there is a Vocal Minority that considers it the Worst. Whatever. Ever!.Well, sort of. It still can't be the exact same Jessica Jones, but the same actress playing a new adaptation of the same character probably isn't going to be a problem.
Jess is actually in an interesting space, because of all the Netflix characters her adaptation was possibly the most matching to the comics. Marvel could give her much of the same backstory without issue from Netflix, minus stuff like the weirdness with her mother and the falling out with Trish, come to think.
They might take a Broad Strokes approach with them the way Edward Norton Hulk both was and wasn't Eric Bana Hulk.
That might be the best way to handle it. Though I'm guessing that Jessica Jones and Daredevil will have relatively modest roles so it's not going to come up a lot.
So for example Jessica Jones will be a PI involved in one case She-Hulk works. And then in a different case Matt Murdoch is the opposing council.
Also out of curiosity, what sort of lawyer is Jennifer Water's typically portrayed as anyways? Matt Murdoch seems to be mostly criminal defense with a bit of civil law on the side, but perhaps a different angle could be that Jennifer Waters works for the DA and specializes in cases where an enhanced person is either the perpetrator or the victim.
I know I'd prefer her to be defense attorney, simply because I despised the Daredevil show's depiction of Matt as a defense attorney (tbh, for the grim, black and white morality they gave him in that series he would've been better off as a prosecutor anyway).

I wonder if Jen will get a Once per Episode Hulking Out.

If they want shadier characters in charge, they could also reintroduce some of the characters used in the tv shows, if they're going whole hog on those not actually being canon to the MCU. Thinking primarily of Victoria Hand, here.
Though I mostly just want Victoria Hand back just in case they decide to adapt Norman Osborn in a Dark Reign adaptation.
