Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Except he probably wouldn't be interacting with main universe Sif.
Unlikely, Multiverse of Madness isn't set in the past, there won't be a time skip.
She also wasn't a part of the original line up of the Y.A. anyway.

I don't know if they'll adapt Ewing's Ultimates but if they do they would likely replace T'challa spot on the team with whoever going's to take his place as the head honcho of Wakanda. His job was mainly keeping good relations with the UN and excursion through the spiritual side of the cosmos on top of providing the funding and technology for the team.
She wasn't, but that's because the Captain America counterpart on the team beforehand was Patriot, and there's been no whisper of him being adapted to the MCU. Part of that is likely due to Eli Bradley disappearing from the comics due to copyright issues (though he finally showed up again in the last few years.)
Well to be fair they are the modern incarnation of the Guardians & the roster of the first movie was essentially the Dn A roster only trimmed down.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
×2
That doesn't work, they went with the Dn A line up for the Guardians films.
Every member in the first films lineup was someone in that run.
Exactly.

It's not unheard of in Latin American families, such as with actress America Ferrera.
x4 In real world? People I most likely don't want to associate with.

Even in comics canon Doom is not always above apropiating technology and resources from others. Just ask the Ovoids.
Man has a sense of honor but it's also a very self serving one, and not always exempt from taking advantage of loopholes and literal phrasing, for instance.
For Latin American audiences, that's not so much of an issue, but the choice (which I have to suppose didn't happen in a vacuum) of "Chavez" as her surname. Across the subcontinent, for obvious reasons, the name has been left politically charged and divisive for over two decades now.

For some reason, adding Kamala to the young avengers when she was a bonified real avenger in the comics is just funny to me.
America, Wiccan, Speed, Hulkling, Stature and Kate is a decent enough group honestly. I doubt they'll get into the whole Kang thing, and I can go either way on Patriot.
But I could see them eventually doing something with the Champions, because Sam, Miles, and Amadeus could all easily appear with the setup given in earlier movies. Not too sure about Viv, though.

My easy guess is that is her last name is inspired by Cesar Chavez
, and for obvious reasons not the other Chavez that shows up in the news.
Bit of a random thought, but I was wondering what people's favorite MCU fight/action scene is.
Of the "big epic battle" variety, I like the Titan sequence from Infinity War with all of the varied abilities on display (especially Tony and Strange's one on ones vs Thanos). I feel like the airport battle from Civil War also deserves a mention, but I think it was outdone by sequences from Infinity War and Endgame.
For smaller scale stuff, there's of course the elevator fight in Winter Soldier. I'm more partial to the fights in the Ant-Man movies, though, particularly the car chase and kitchen fight in the sequel.

It just hit me that no recast for T'Challa probably means no Al Ewing's Ultimates...
I'm curious what she looks like.
Of Xochitl? Try here.
Admittedly she looks pretty young. Though I guess that give her the chance to grow into the role? I'm willing to give her a chance.
