Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

@ Windleopard - Thank you for posting/sharing.
Regarding the female friend, I would really happy if that does end up being Jazinda. Just something I would like, not a theory with any support.
In terms of actresses, maybe Brenda Song, Ali Wong, or Kelly Marie Tran? Or for a different kind of Asian, Tiya Sircar?
Edit - Re Miles, I think it's perfectly fine and it's my preference for him to go by Spider-Man in and out of universe, especially because he wears a distinguishable costume.
Regrding the different cities though, that reminds me of the recentish Superior Spider-Man where Otto was in (IIRC) San Francisco and called himself Spider-Man (not surprising, given his ego), but wore the Superior costume in what he claimed in-universe was an homage.

... Screwball?
Yeah, that description does fit Screwball, although 1) she's not a She-Hulk villain and 2) she's not really Big Bad material. I know Titana is pretty much the only major She Hulk villain, but that doesn't sound much like her
Doesn't Howard the Duck count as a rival to Jen at least?

She has a few, Titania is just by far her most prominent. That said, most of She-Hulk's rogue gallery is shared with other characters, mostly Hulk rogues or those general Marvel villains who aren't tied down to any particular character.
The only ones off the top of my head that I can think of that are primarily She-Hulk villains are Titania, Ogress and Lyra. But that's not to say that she doesn't have a healthy hero-villain relationship with some characters who also villain for other heroes as well.

Who's to say we won't see him? I see Titania playing a big role, but at the same time I doubt she'd be the Big Bad.
I don't know enough about Oggress and Lyra to comment on them.
Given that the article is citing the already very Jossed rumors that the third Spidey flick is going to be a multiverse movie, probably not.
And then, of course, there's the fact that We Got It Covered is all over the story.

Agh, I debated with myself on whether to bring it up on this thread or not. I was under the impression that if they ever revisited any previously used Spider-Man villains, they would be performed by very different actors.
That impression got jossed when Jamie Foxx was announced to appear as Electro that, according to a now-deleted post on Foxx's Instagram, would not be blue, which was a defining trait of the character in ASM2 (for better or for worse). And now, there's rumblings of Molina returning as Doc Ock?
I already saw a lot of people calling "multiverse shenanigans," but what if he's just playing a rebooted MCU version of the character? Because Otto explicitly died in Spider-Man 2.
Eh, I'd love to see Wonder Woman, Superman, and Green Lantern yell Avengers Assemble

One Strip! One Strip! She had to say something. I mean, it's not her fault the Justice League doesn't really have much of a battle cry.
One Strip! One Strip! The only Doc Ock my life needs at this point is "Liv".
I'd say they already have a great actress lined up
, but she's already going to be in the MCU as Ag* nes.
People want the classic Ock, especially after seeing him used rather well in the PS 4 game. Liv is weird because there was a female Ock for a bit but she never gained momentum.

It'd be simpler if Miles and Peter operated out of different cities. Like, if one's the New York Spider-Man and the other's the Chicago Spider-Man, then there wouldn't be as many circumstances where the confusion would come up.
