Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Man that 5-year timeskip has a lot of interesting implications even outside of the Snap.
Rocket's been an Avenger longer than he's been a Guardian of the Galaxy. Hawkeye was off being The Punisher for longer than Frank Castle was The Punisher. NEBULA's been superheroing it up with Earth as her home base for five years.
Five years is almost as long as the Avengers itself had been around as a team.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Huh I just now realized, since we got the Kree and Skulls involved, plus the stinger of Far From Home indicating that the Avengers/Shield are going full cosmic.
Do you find it likely that they might bring in Hulkling/Theodore "Teddy" Altman who is a Kree/Skrull hybrid & heir to the empires?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."You know what's really funny? The MCU is by far the universe that has has had the longest stay in service of Hulk as an Avenger. In every other universe he only stays with them for a smash up or two at best before just storming off...
Oh yeah thats definitely one thing I am very much looking forward to in Wanda Vision.
If it sets up Wiccan and Speed then thats more signs for Young Avengers & I am most excited to see Wiccan and Hulkling brought onstage.
Goddamn power couple I tell ya.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Yeah like I can imagine them doing one but not both.
If we get either Young Avengers or Champions they will most likely just stick with one name across several line-ups.
Like a first Young Avengers movie starring the typical line-up but a future movie way in starring a traditionally Champions line-up would prolly be called Young Avengers: Next-Gen.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Hell, you could go really crazy and composite Marvel's three young hero teams: New Warriors, Young Avengers, and Comic Book/Champions.
Well, ok, there's also the various teen X-Men teams, including the OG 5, but that's for when the X-Men show up.
But you could probably sneak one or two warriors (you could composite Sam and Richard a little, though), add the more popular members of the Young Avengers (Kate Bishop is already going to be in the Hawkeye show, and the twins will be a thing in Wanda Vision) then toss in Kamala, perhaps and a few other champions.
Something for everybody.
Edit:
Oh, I totally forgot Avengers Academy. Yeah, toss them in there as well.

One Strip! One Strip!Speed existing is my pet peeve because why the fuck did Wanda have a kid with Pietro’s powers instead of one with Vision’s?
Rectify this, the MCU and also bring us Viv
Forever liveblogging the AvengersAnd he's still not back.
Fucking Secret War rebooted the universe, brought in Miles & merged his history to the 616, & Mettle's still not brought back to life in spite all that insanity.
Feel like Kelly Thompson is the only person who bothers to remember those characters because I hear Hazmat has actually appeared in her currently ongoing Captain Marvel.

Forever liveblogging the Avengers

Endgame had a 5 year time skip, right? I'm betting that Carol managed to make a name for herself on Earth during that time skip and Kamala became a fan of hers around then too. (Maybe at 10 years old? Five years is a long time...)
I also wouldn't be surprised if it turns out the Khans got affected by the Snap in some capacity. Maybe Aamir (Kamala's brother) or one of her parents. (Or maybe the Snap will just be a thing in the background, like how The Mandalorian is set shortly after ROTJ, but isn't a major factor to the main plot.)
Incidentally, Ms. Marvel is filming in Atlanta around the same time and place as Spider-Man 3. It's probably just coincidence and legal shenanigans would render it as "not happening," but I would not be opposed to having Spidey make a cameo in Kamala's show...
