Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I would not call the Mirror Dimension useless because it has only been used against cosmic threats so far. It is mostly a case of The Worf Effect.
I'm having a hard time establishing the scale of power between Wanda, Carol and Strange. In terms of raw power, Carol and Wanda are way ahead (in that order), but Strange is much more versatile in the use of his powers. Wanda in particular may have trouble overcoming someone who can teleport her on the other side of the planet again and again (that would work against Carol too but Strange had better aim for the other side of the galaxy if he wants this to stick for a while).

Whatever your favourite work is, there is a Vocal Minority that considers it the Worst. Whatever. Ever!.I thought that was the rat from Endgame (at least until they give Squirrel Girl a MCU appearance).
Whatever your favourite work is, there is a Vocal Minority that considers it the Worst. Whatever. Ever!.Hell yeah he did.
Six years later, and my favourite part is still that one Chitauri taking off his mask.
He clearly thinks he must have imagined the big green dude planting his fist in their space whale's face.
One Strip! One Strip!Well, it was the first time they'd deal with them.
The team has had many years to improve their tech, their strategies, etc.
They were also fighting Leviathans that were probably only as strong as the ones they fought back then too.
One Strip! One Strip! So Last Season is a thing.
Tons of works have a bad guy type in the beginning be a super challenge but then after escalation and training. The heroes mow them down easily later.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."Like Corvus, who in Infinity War could beat several Dora Mileage at the same time, beat Shuri easily and fight at the same level as Captain America, while in Endgame he is killed in 5 seconds by a Badass Normal.

That version of Corvus might be weaker than the one in Infinity War. He is from earlier in his own timeline.
One Strip! One Strip!

That's one thing the MCU interpretation of Doctor Strange stuck with. Sure he's able to match the human magic users, but against Dormammu? Even with the power of the Time Stone, he can't do anything but stalemate him and endure multiple deaths.
Disgusted, but not surprised
