Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Since the day Vision was brought to life so linked to the Infinity Stone in the MCU, I (and everybody else) knew Thanos would kill him, but I wish they had it echo his last chat with Ultron with Thanos laying out his grand plan to save mankind (or woo Death, as it was once thought it'd be) and Vision simply commenting "You're unbearably naive."
"All you Fascists bound to lose."I know, right?
Literally engineering new life forms out of rage just because you lost a couple Harbulary batteries.

The movie did make a point of establishing how petty and immature the Sovereign are. For crying out loud, the way they pilot their drone fighters is very much styled like an arcade.
Besides, it's not just the batteries themselves. It's the fact that said batteries were stolen from them. The Sovereign are trying to send a message of "Don't fuck with the Sovereign".

Disgusted, but not surprised![]()
More Worthy Opponents than friends, thorough they have teamed up a number of times.
As for his origin, Adam’s creation doesn’t involve Thanos at at all. He in fact predated Thanos by several years.
As much fun as it would to feature Adam Warlock and Thanos together, I'm not sure how well it would've worked. Infinity War had to build up Thanos's motivations and what he's capable of. Having to do that with Warlock too would've probably made the film more bloated, having to basically build his character from the ground up along with making him a major player.
Maybe if they introduced in him Endgame and have him be involved with reversing the Snap, that could work. But one thing about the Infinity Trilogy of comics is that Adam Warlock and Thanos are the main characters. The Avengers are basically supporting characters used to demonstrate the cosmic scale of the story's events. And it works for those stories, but it probably wouldn't work to have an Avengers movie where the Avengers are not really the main characters.
She's pretty much just the chick.
Like she doesn't actually appear much but she's basically the girlfriend sidekick to Adam. I'm not even sure if she can fight.
Nebula though amusingly is pretty in-character even if she looks completely different than how she does in the movies.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
I meant more that the movies actually kept the whole complex love/hate father/daughter thing.
Sure its extremely different but the spirit is sorta there so Nebula & Thanos's relationship is one of the more recognizably intact concepts from the comic.
Especially since like in the comic Nebula was vital in the defeat of Thanos.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Well shit we getting A-Force movie?
Should turn out better than the comic which suffered from plenty issues, biggest of which being the one that plagues any team book. Why are these characters (who are pretty disparate) all working together as a team?
