Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Um... so now Tatiana Maslany is saying that she hasn't been cast as She-Hulk...

Xochitl Gomez cast for Doctor Strange.
They don't say the role, but it's speculated she could eb playing America Chavez.
It seems to me there are an awful lot of speculations going around. I remember reading somewhere a theory that the entire phase four would be an adaptation of House of M. While I think this is quite unlikely, it would be actually quite fun (and no less unlikely) if it actually ended up being in fact a reverse House of M, culminating with "More Mutants"...

Whatever your favourite work is, there is a Vocal Minority that considers it the Worst. Whatever. Ever!.I’m somewhat convinced that that the Wandavisiom / Dr. Strange is going to be The Reveal that the bubble Wanda’s stuck-in / creating that grants her greatest desires was the result of her tapping into the Dream Dimension, leading into Nightmare as Big Bad of Multiverse of Madness.
It’d be cool if they did a thing where Nightmare offers Wanda a reality altering Deal with the Devil for everything she wants, and she ends up possessed or something in Strange’s movie.

She could be some measure of take on Zelma Stanton from the Aaron run off the top of my head, but I don't know. Zelma is Ambiguously Brown but generally drawn as African-American-esque, while Gomez doesn't seem to have african ancestry (though evidently Hispanic and her first name would imply some Native Toltec ancestry, but far from clear).
"All you Fascists bound to lose."The long-term consequences of the Blip seem to have been glossed over in the MCU, so I'm not entirely sure it can count as a reality-changing event. The world in Far from Home seemed remarkably close to our own, and the Blip was mainly acknowledged in the form of jokes. I don't know if this will be the case for future films, but the main long-term effects of the Snap on the universe seem rather underplayed. There is a lot of potential there (such as the fact that puny Earthlings were the ones who managed to Unsnap the universe) but that does not seem to be the direction they were taking.

In other Spidey news, unless he's bullshitting, Jimmy Kimmel claims he's been cast as Kraven the Hunter.
If he is playing Kraven, I imagine he's playing the "celebrity hunter" version a la Ultimate Marvel or the Marvel's Spider-Man show.
