Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I think there's a very strong chance of that given they address Vision's death and mysterious return in the trailer.
Anyone who read House of M back in the day wouldn't be too surprised by this.
This series seems like some weird blend of House of M and The Vision (2015).

Disgusted, but not surprisedI'm getting some vibes of the Vision and Scarlet Witch series, the second one.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersAnd I though season 7 of Agents of Shield was heavy on the references to old series...
Whatever your favourite work is, there is a Vocal Minority that considers it the Worst. Whatever. Ever!.Guess I'm actually going to get Disney Plus.
Because I am so looking forward to this.
I definatly want to see Quicksilver, that character deserves a little more staying power in the setting rather than being swept under the rug.
I actually do think there will be some lasting effect on the setting from this, if only because signs are indicating the setting is gearing up for a Young Avengers story, and for that you kind of want some characters to stick around.
Edit: I also recall that this story is suposably meant to tie into Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness which boggles the mind with possibilities.

This looks absolutely nuts, and I love it already.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I'm reminded of Mabel's bubble from Gravity Falls for some reason
have a listen and have a link to my discord serverA while back, there were rumblings that while Aaron Taylor-Johnson (who played Quicksilver in AOU) wouldn't appear, Evan Peters, who played Quicksilver in the X-Men movies from Fox, would have some kind of role in WandaVision. Needless to say, people thought it meant Fox!Quicksilver would be MCU!Quicksilver, which COULD work due to A) the show's concept of forking with reality and B) the fact that Quicksilver was apparently something of a saving grace for the latter X-Men movies, especially since they were going the way of the dodo.
But I'm not holding my breath.
Also, holy crap, that Arthur guy really is the guy from A Serious Man. That movie was weird AF.
Also also, seeing Kathryn Hahn in 80's workout gear made me think it could suit Olivia Octavius for some weird reason...
EDIT: Speaking of Hahn, the video's closed captioning calls her character "Agnes". An adaptational name change? Or a pseudonym for Agatha Harkness, since she was seen wearing a witch costume?

She seems to have glowing eyes when she's thrown to the ground in the trailer, so she'll probably have her powers at some point.
Someone found an easter egg regarding the bottle of wine.
The wine is labeled "Maison Du Mepris" which translates to "House of Mepris". Take out the "epris" and you get "House of M".
