Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I'm just wondering how Kang is going to work from a heist movie template. Maybe he takes something from Scott's time, and they have to go into his terrible future to steal it back. A Dystopian Heist.
But character plot wise, the very first thing I thought of was Scott impulsively trying to go back in time to get the years he lost with Cassie back, becoming a bit of a point of contention between them as he comes to accept that she's a woman now - yadda yadda leading into her origin as Stature.
Or Stinger.
Or maybe a combination of the two identities: Sting-Ture!
One Strip! One Strip!Kang doesn't really have any connection to Hank Pym in the comics.
He did first appear as Fantastic Four villain back when he went by Rama-Tut. He's had a nebulous connection with them, with some stories suggesting he may or may not be a descendent of Doctor Doom.
I dunno, haven't really followed a lot of Kang stories from the comics. Most of my knowledge comes from his appearances in the cartoons.
The entire plot of the Infinity Saga also seems like something Mordo would see as vindication. His whole gimmick was that he realized magic as of itself is a harmful force to the universe and must be stopped. The entire events of the Infinity Saga are caused by the (magic) infinity stones causing a ungodly amount of suffering to the universe and nearly bringing upon its end. Ergo, what he warned came to pass.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."He's Dr. Strange's Arch-Enemy. There's no way he's not coming back in a big way.

Nah, that would be out-of-character, Scott's too responsible to do something stupid like that.

The character in the comics pretty much is the recurring "just a light sweat" villain, so him becoming that too in the MCU is fitting.
