Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I second him being a good fit for Arcade. He just really fits that obnoxious game show host niche. Jonah Hill works just as well for that too, by the way.
The legend has returned.I'd want someone with a really commanding voice for MODOK. It'd make a great contrast: the heroes walk up to this strange abomination of science, but then he talks with this spine chilling voice and suddenly all the tech in the area is turning against them...

I think the MCU had ceased to balk from comic book silliness since GoG, and this was further cemented by things like Korg or Fat Thor. They even somehow lampshaded it in Far From Home.
Whatever your favourite work is, there is a Vocal Minority that considers it the Worst. Whatever. Ever!.
That brings up bad memories of Meet Dave. I'm assuming that's what you were referring to.

Disgusted, but not surprisedAlthough getting killed off in last stand was due to production side things and spite I believe
Doesn’t mean for a second that I think he would have been treated better had he been in more of it
Forever liveblogging the Avengers

Josh Gad is one of the people where I mostly think of their... I guess "celebrity persona?" The personality they show to people outside of their roles. He's got a kind of wild, smirking exuberance to him. Like a really clever goofball, or a circus ringmaster.
I look at Daniel Radcliffe the same way as well. Radcliffe especially likes portraying himself as a Fun Personified sort of guy.
