Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Tony stark existed, thus justifying the rage of....you know what? Let's just say everyone.
One Strip! One Strip!Feeling Oppressed by Their Existence is a surprisingly common motivation for supervillains. Lex Luthor for example wants to kill Superman just for showing up and being better than him.
Disgusted, but not surprised
x2 Mr. Freeze. But seriously the only Marvel villian I can think of who is married is the Lizard. Maybe the Absorbing Man? Can't quite remember.

"Tony Stark once flipped off an annoying reporter named Eddie Brock.
"
Who in coincidencial string of fate, found a alien being who was also flipped over by tony stark during is stay in space, soon after they bound over their comon hatred over tony stark.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"![]()
I don't think Crusher Creel is a Spidey rogue though. Doesn't really work with the Running Gag of MCU Spidey's rogues all being motivated by something Tony did.
x2 Oh I thought we were talking in general. My bad. Though the Lizard often does have a family, but I doubt Marvel wants to go back to that particular well.
In the classic continuity she dies giving birth to Harry. Not to say that's it's an impossible change but it would potentially be a significantly different take on the Osborns if she was alive.

She was alive in Spectacular but she never says or does anything.
But in a very tense way.
Forever liveblogging the Avengers![]()
She didn't die giving birth to him. She faked her death making it look like it was due to being weakened from birth just to get away from Norman.
Also, Connor's family is back. They were resurrected via cloning and are now also reptile-human hybrids like Curt.

Disgusted, but not surprisedSince Ant-Man and the Wasp poached an Iron Man villain for their film, I'd say it evens out.

Angering Osborn would be pretty easy. Stark Industries would just have to show up Oscorp at some point or another, although that'd give you the origin to half the corporate villains in Marvel.
Wake me up at your own risk.
