Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Exhibit A.
To quote Benson
"Their highly territorial, warlike birds."
I mean it's not like the US government is that much better in the comics though.
If they are not actively evil, they are dangerously dumb. Like that time when they made Norman fucking Osborn Top Cop of the country, alongside his group of murderers, terrorists and rapists.
Certified: 48.0% West Asian, 6.5% South Asian, 15.8% North/West European, 15.7% English, 7.4% Balkan, 6.6% ScandinavianPoutine nearly killed the Swedish Chef. For that reason alone, it is evil.
I still remember the bit in JLA / Avengers where the JLA (who, admittedly, were depicted as excessively judgmental in that story, but then so were the Avengers) looked at the Marvel Universe and thought "damn, this place has to be a dystopia."

Considering what had happened in the DCU at the time, that meta commentary could only have rang more false if it were given by Loki.
Remember - these people sell milk in bags and have a dish consisting of fries and gravy and cheese curds.
They're monsters, is what I'm getting at.
As a Canadian, I just want to tell you all to SHUT IT!!!!
One Strip! One Strip!![]()
Speaking of people who only got famous after leaving Canada, Wolverine has a long history with Alpha Flight (in fact I think one of the main reasons why Marvel Canada is so evil is because writers are constantly making Logan's backstory Darker and Edgier while keeping large parts of it rooted in Canada), so he could potentially debut in an Alpha Flight movie. Although that would be a double edged sword because putting one super popular character in a team with a bunch of heroes who are currently C-list at best might result in him overshadowing the rest of the team.
Seriously. Like I'm biased because I grew up buying bagged milk but what is it that Americans find so weird about it?

As far as I know there’s a pitcher thing you can put the bag in for pouring purposes
Forever liveblogging the Avengers

The bagged milk I'll give you, but how dare you insinuate there's anything wrong with poutine?
Anyway, we all know the reason Canadians are so polite and kind is because they soul bonded with their geese; whenever a Canadian human has a malicious thought or desire to cause harm, it gets mentally transferred to their paired Canada goose instead.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!
