Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I mean when you got resident full human Black Widow maneuvering around the giant robot that can supposedly take on the Lighting God & green behemoth, it’s pretty pathetic.
Rather hilariously really. Loki handled the Avengers better than Ultron ever did & he explicitly wasn’t a physical opponent, having relied on his brains for the most part.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Cross was fine for what he was, that being just Diet Stane. Watching him absolutely lose his shit after his life's work implodes and just try to murderize the shit out of everyone was entertaining at least.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Yeah, the only villains who are true black voids for me are Malekith and Killian.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Taika Waititi casts doubt about Fat Thor's return.
As I said, I would not say no to them showing Thor and Peter doing a Training Montage to the sound of this gem:

I mean I feel cross have potencial seen how pym(the true villian of antman
) remark on how close he come to himself but is just that, the rest of the movie focus to much on scott and the good guys.
Adrian...I like it? I mean is plans is good, even if his motives are petty and he push tony really close which for me is what a villian should to have villian creed, for exmaple HYDRA in winter soldier.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Ironically not just getting rid of Thor’s fat by the end of Endgame was one of the positives of his treatment

Sometimes all you need for a villain is a good personality & threat level.
Killian was competent but he had a terrible personality unlike Hela who charismatic enough while also being a credible threat for the heroes.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Hela was mainly carried by Cate having a ball. She was neat and stuff, but not like, all she could've been. Then again, considering the previous movie had Malekith and November of 2017 also gave us Steppenwolf, guess there are blessings to be counted.
Self-serious autistic trans gal who loves rock/metal and animation with all her heart. (she/her)So I'm rewatching Ao U and unpopular opinion: Natasha and Bruce's romance got way too much hate. It came out of nowhere, sure, but the two have chemistry. Apart from the whole "I'm a monster" controversy, I would even argue it's one of the better parts of this film. At least it's some form of character development, which in retrospect this movie is pretty void of.
Still it's kind of nice to see these characters just be themselves on a regular, world-ending adventure. It's basically the most "regular" of the crossover MCU movies.
Oh yeah and leave "Fat Thor" in the trash. It's a tone-deaf, boring, and reductive development from an otherwise great movie.

well, it's been 5 years in universe after Raganarok, with out counting a few years more while they phase out Banner, they could easily introduce him as a 15 yo. I think in-universe he also looked older than he actually was, and so did Hiro, I don't recall the reason though.
As meanwhile un-Hulked Skaar looked like child, Hiro always looked like a adult.

I don't think Cross is bad, but he comes across as diet-Obadiah to me. I like the idea that the Pym Particles are slowly making him lose his mind, but I feel that could've been developed more. We see him completely breakdown in the climax and a few choice moments before hand, but it's not explored as much as I would like. I dunno, maybe a scene where he tests the Particles on himself after he finds it works on living beings?
