Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I'd so desperately love it if Blue Marvel was referenced by Namor and/or Black Panther. Not just for Ultimates, but for the hope that it could spark some more interest in his character, and his story of the bitter truths about America. I'd love to see him as The Idealist Knight in Sour Armor.
Also, Blue Marvel and Anti-Man's costumes in Ultimates are really cool.
...and his backstory could easily be tied into what the SSI/PEGASUS/US gov't was doing with the Space Stone before it showed up in Captain Marvel. And it's even blue!

So...Dana Schwartz, who's set to write for She-Hulk, sort of made a comparison between
The Rise of Skywalker and the current pandemic...
This is not okay, right?
I mean, 1) it's a funny joke and 2) she's making fun the fact that people will forget about it immediately after.
The tweet is perfectly fine.

> Well, clearly you've never heard of black comedy
More like Gallows Humor for some people
have a listen and have a link to my discord serverI mean, I liked TROS...but I guess I'd be lying if I said I didn't want at least a comic book miniseries detailing how Duel of the Fates would've turned out.
After all, it's not like there hasn't been precedence for stories that could've been. Didn't Dark Horse Comics publish a miniseries based on the first draft of what would end up becoming the first Star Wars movie?
I’ve been nothing but bombarded by jokes about toilet paper and whatever this while time
People obviously think it’s okay to joke about

Forever liveblogging the Avengers![]()
I feel that’s just semantics
I also feel like it’s importing drama to bring up the tweet because it’s not directly relevant to MCU discussion and seems to be just “should we be mad at this, discuss”

Forever liveblogging the AvengersA. Joke’s not particularly funny.
B. It’s more ragging on that movie, so it’s just more of the same.
C. Is it relevant to this thread? It’s not actually about the MCU. It’s about a MCU writer’s tweet but debatable whether that’s enough.
