Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I mean, even Logan himself believes that.
And with the way writers have made him a massive hypocrite, he's now more right than ever.
I think it's also supposed to be a bit depressing too.
One Strip! One Strip!People also seem to like Logan due to his tendency to hang around and mentor teen girls
So my thought is that Cyclops should mentor X-23. That'll show Logan.
Forever liveblogging the Avengers
I'm surprised they never had Scott bond with Surge. They're similar in that they both suffer Power Incontinence and Surge was involved in a Generation Xerox love triangle with Hellion and X-23.

I know he gets a lot of (rightly deserved) criticism for hogging the spotlight, but Jackman's Wolverine was a nicer and deeper character than the walking parody of masculinity Logan was in the comics, especially in the 90s and 2000s. It is possible to make an interesting version of Logan who isn't just defined by his "badassitude".
Well, except may Wolverine and the X-Men, where his Spotlight-Stealing Squad status reached an all time high.
Even with them having Logan consistently admit he was not a good leader (to the point where the future went to hell because of a decision he made), he was the weakest part of the show he was essentially headlining.
One Strip! One Strip! My favorite version of Logan is probably the one from X-Men: Evolution.
Certified: 48.0% West Asian, 6.5% South Asian, 15.8% North/West European, 15.7% English, 7.4% Balkan, 6.6% ScandinavianThat show actually managed to know how to balance the spotlight with him.
Sure he had his spotlight episodes but he wasn’t always encroaching on the other characters.
Plus with Jean being an actual teenager on a kids cartoon, that meant no Wolverine trying to seduce her.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Though Ultimate Xmen shows us that that won't necessarily stop him.
I'm willing to give 616 Logan enough credit that he would not have hit on a still Teenage Jean. He deserves that much.
One Strip! One Strip! It's like....the pedestal is already broken, but not they just want to turn the remains into dust as well.
You keep wanting to think better of some of these guys, and someone keeps dragging them farther down.
It's like writers want to make them radioactive.
One Strip! One Strip!Well at least he was not as bad as Beast x) Who literally received an entire issue of a "The Reason You Suck" Speech by the friggin' Watcher because of how scummy he became.
Certified: 48.0% West Asian, 6.5% South Asian, 15.8% North/West European, 15.7% English, 7.4% Balkan, 6.6% ScandinavianMy favorite was when young Hank told Beast how much he sucked
Getting a reason you suck speech from yourself is pretty much as crushing as you can get
Forever liveblogging the AvengersMarvel Studios is shutting down indefinitely:

Really really disappointing, but health and safety come first.
I don't think we're gonna be seeing anything from Marvel for a long time
The hardest thing in this world is to live in it.EDIT: The original article that reported this was taken down
, apparently due to a crew member reaching out and disputing the announcement. So, I say it's not 100% confirmed yet.

That's depressing.
