Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I'd love it if that means the Kingpin gets to be the villain of the next Spider-Man movie.
But that'd mean I'd have to catch up on the Netflix shows to get the full context (I haven't watched anything past season one of Luke Cage). And I've heard very mixed things about their later series.

*4 Still they are supposed to be trained assassins, it would be disappointed if they were so easy to kill.
Similar to Ren's knights who are as weak as stormtroopers, despite being supposedly users of force.
I am not asking that they be super powerful, but that they are at least not as weak as a Chitauri.

Did the movies ever say the knights were?
We made a lot of assumptions that the movies ultimately didn’t cash and that’s on them but it’s on us a little bit too
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI remember very distinctly that we never saw the Knights of Ren use the Force. They could have been doing the more passive stuff, but there was nothing obvious.
Writing a post-post apocalypse LitRPG on RR. Also fanfic stuff.Shit recasting & reimagine Iron Fist would give them the opportunity to fix the character after what Netflix did to him.
Tone down the grit & embrace the mystical martial arts movie nature of the character as well as making him more likable so Luke can think of him as a brother & we get a Heroes for Hire series.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Yeah. Finn Jones needs to be kicked out.
He's got too much drama behind him from the role. Someone new is a very good idea. I do want them to keep the status quo Netflix had of Danny giving the power to Coleen while he searches for the origins of the Iron Fist and the other cities though.
One Strip! One Strip! Before anyone asks if BW is going straight to Disney+ or VOD, no way. Lots of money is at stake here. Even if the cinemas reopen by May the environment would be so unfavorable that the film would crash and burn instantly.
The only way the release would go digital is if Disney is willing to write it off as a financial failure.

"The devil's got all the good gear. What's God got? The Inspiral Carpets and nuns. Fuck that." - Liam GallagherCharlie Cox!Daredevil in Peter's corner dealing with JJJ's crap?
Yes please!
My brother had a head cannon where first they play nice with JJJ, having DD act as the Parker's Lawyer (whose on a well paid retainer via Ms Potts-Stark) then when that doesn't work they get MEAN and call in Jessica to do some digging.
But that'd mean I'd have to catch up on the Netflix shows to get the full context (I haven't watched anything past season one of Luke Cage). And I've heard very mixed things about their later series.
Daredevil seasons 1, the first half of 2, and 3 are all phenomenal. It's only the second half of Daredevil's 2nd season that's not very good.
I’m pretty sure if Murdock does come in, his prior adventures will be Broad Strokes.
Luke Cage Season 1 had a weak second half as well. And the less said about Iron Fist Season 1, the better.
Other than that, I genuinely liked every Netflix Marvel Season, even Defenders.

In my opinion that was their ultimate kryptonite. There were odd things here and there that didn't work in some shows, some parts of certain seasons that didn't click, but the primary thing that dragged down sizable portions of the Netflix continuity was that singular decision to give the Hand so much damn screen time.
I would legit take Diamondback over the Hand.
