Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

See, now I'm remembering How It Should Have Ended's video on Endgame that featured the Red Skull sacrificing himself so neither Natasha or Clint would have to kill themselves to get the Soul Stone. And now I'm wondering if that was actually a part of an earlier draft.
Chris Brewster and Isabelle Fretheim, stunt people for various MCU projects, have been cast separately as "Minuteman", according to IMDb's page on Loki. For the uninitiated, the Minutemen, established in Fantastic Four #352, are basically guards for the TVA to keep an eye on the timestream.

Speaking of minutemen
I imagine that initially Loki Odinson will have trouble beating 2 or 3 members, but in the end he will be able to beat complete waves effortlessly
I just hope they have a Gruenwald look alike in the TVA. And maybe a De Falco one as well.
I hope there are some Doctor Who references as well. After all, there were plenty in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., although, curiously, there were less of them the more time travel was involved in that show.

Whatever your favourite work is, there is a Vocal Minority that considers it the Worst. Whatever. Ever!.Finally, good news!
Shang-Chi's director Destin Daniel Cretton has been tested negative for coronavirus.
Rumor: Kevin Feige is interested in making a new deal with Sony for a Spider-Woman movie.
Makes sense: Marvel can use Jessica Drew, but not the name "Spider-Woman," while Sony can use Spider-Woman, but can't mention anything relating to Hydra, the High Evolutionary, or pretty much anything else from her backstory.
Black Widow Introduces the MCU's Best Superhero, Says David Harbour
.
I recall reading that Marvel and Sony can both use the name Jessica Drew, but only Sony can refer to her as Spider-Woman. And give her spider powers.
One could argue that Sony can just do what they did with Eddie Brock in the Venom movie, and concoct a new origin for Jessica, but if it's Feige who wants the movie to happen this time around...
I don't know. Maybe whatever agreement they came to to keep Spider-Man in the MCU also allowed Marvel some extra liberties they didn't have initially.
Kevin Smith shared a rumor that Matt Murdock is going to appear in the third Spider-Man movie.
now, I'd take it with a grain of salt, since the third season of Daredevil aired October 2018 and apparently the Netflix contract stated that Marvel can't use the character for two years, meaning that if Spider-Man Homecoming 3 starting filming in the Summer 2020 (like it was supposed to), it couldn't use Spider-Man, but...
- Filming has probably been delayed, so that might not be a problem anymore.
- Marvel might have made some sort of deal with Netflix to use Daredevil.
- Daredevil was Marvel's most popular Netflix show and Disney really seemed interested in using Charlie Cox again as Matt Murdock.
In any case, if this is true: fuck yeah, I want Daredevil to be in the next Spider-Man movie. I want Matt Murdock to sue JJJ on behalf of the Parkers for slander and defamation.

> At times I wonder what the Russo's are smoking and thank the gods that Feige put Jon and James as E Ps on IW and EG>
The Russo's probably operate on Rule of Cool at all times,it doesn't make logical sense for a nazi to become an antihero Yoda but sounded cool to them, hell telling them he was a nazi was probably met with indifference or blank look "Wait, that guy with the cool head is a Nazi?!"
