Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I somehow doubt Marvel Studios would lose any sleep about that.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Huh I just thought Taskmaster could easily appear in Winter Falcon & Shang-Chi.
Since he wears a total covering costume you can easily get him in more productions since you wouldn't have to worry about figuring out the actors schedule.
It be pretty dope seeing him fight Sam, Bucky, or Shang.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Pretty sure he's slated for the Black Widow film.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Try telling this to X-Men fans.
It happened really fast though
Like, where were the X Men when that happened? They weren’t there because they were doing other stuff!

If the X-Men are going to be caught in eternal cycles of near extinction they need to go meta.
Maybe not a full Morrison but somewhere on the scale.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersYeah sorry but not participating against this weeks fight against Supervillain X (aka Tuesday) and not doing enough against systematic oppression isn't really comparable.

Certified: 48.0% West Asian, 6.5% South Asian, 15.8% North/West European, 15.7% English, 7.4% Balkan, 6.6% ScandinavianYou're arguing from a purely Doylist point of view here. I mean, basically ANYTHING is possible if the author just "wills" it so. Red Skull could also become a nice guy if the "company would just allow it". All discussions can be shut down by that argument
The Avengers, including Cap himself, have admitted in-universe at numerous times to not having done enough on behalf of mutantkind, so I think it is fair to discuss that story point.
Doesn't mean that they are inherently bad people, just means that they aren't perfect, they are flawed, which makes for more interesting characters.

And it’s the latter that dumb fans and stupid stories try to push

A couple of the Hulk villains I'd like to see in the MCU are Zzzax
and Hammer and Anvil
