Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

In fact if the trailers do not lie, in the Wanda & Vision series they will make a joke at the expense of the classic costume.

I imagine that in the She-Hulk series they will do something similar to the animated series. (Regarding the suit.)

Seriously?
They're gonna let people do that in their name?
I know they're counter cultural, but I figured they were better than that.
One Strip! One Strip! This is very sad to hear.
True, I barely watch South Park myself anymore, but I figured they'd be a little more...discerning about how their fans act.
One Strip! One Strip!Plus she's got a point: South Park did used to be a show about turning people the creators didn't like or disagreed with into caricatures, saying fuck you to anyone who didn't like what you were saying, and essentially being tailor made escapism for immature kids and teenagers.
It had it's strong episodes, yeah, but it's still relatively recently that the show has taken a turn into consistently strong characterization and coherent social commentary, and it's all the better for it now. And from the way they write now, I don't think Matt and Trey look back at the earlier seasons of South Park all that fondly either.
I'm part of the South Park generation myself, and to be honest I don't think South Park really became a consistently good show until a few years ago.

To be fair, that's one of the few things Trey and Matt have walked back on.
While I am a fan of South Park, there's a lot of viewpoints they've espoused that I don't agree with. There's a lot to criticize about the show and some of their episodes have not held up well.

Agreed with both of these choices.
I used to resent Winter Soldier for what seemed very much like a Debate and Switch. "Freedom v. Security, which should we— WHOOPS SECURITY TEAM IS SECRET NAZIS, guess that answers that!"
Now it just feels weirdly prescient.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.

Dana Schwartz, the head writer for the upcoming She-Hulk show, has received death threats for criticizing South Park
