Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

All this talk reminds me on why I mostly quit reading comics a whole while ago^^ Just too much dumb stuff among the few gems, especially during the last few years.
The MCU and the Arrowverse have really led me to focus my money and attention on movies and shows, in terms of superheroes.

One Strip! One Strip! We got concept art of a Celestial
◊ from Eternals.
Yeah, he's a big one, ain't he? Apparently he's on par with Galactus!
Now, Celestial's are much bigger, because an entire multi-tiered society was able to live comfortably inside just the head of one of them, Knowhere. But this is definitely the biggest one we've seen.
A rumor from MCU Cosmic (so take this with a big grain of rice) has it that Marvel has regained the distribution rights to the Hulk and Namor.
It's possible that Universal realized that they wouldn't make any money just holding onto the rights, so sold them back to Disney; Namor's rights, on the other hand, have been super complicated, but there's rumors he's going to show up, too.
If so, I hope they do an Immortal Hulk series and I hope they get Henry Golding as Namor.
If they have distribution right again, I want them to turn the She Hulk tv series into a She Hulk film series.
It’s kind of funny that the lack of distribution rights, and thus the lack of films specifically about him, has ultimately allowed the “can never be happy” king Bruce Banner to be happy, cheerful and accepted as a supporting character.
Oh god, this is funny.
Someone on the Marvel Spoilers Reddit claimed that the "unexpected character" debuting in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness was Googam
, so Scott Derrickson (the director of the movie) replied on Twitter:
WHO IN THE UNHOLY HELL IS GOOGAM ANYWAY?!!
YOU DON’T MEAN THE SON OF GOOM FROM PLANET X?!!
NOOOOOOOOO!!
AAAHHHHHHHH!!!

Well, that's one way to debunk a rumor.
Speaking of rumors, another one from MCU Cosmic (so again, grain of salt) says we might see Daredevil and the other Defenders sooner rather than later.
I can see where this one is coming from. If She-Hulk is getting in production soon, it wouldn't be improbable to see a certain blind lawyer rubbing shoulders with Jen...or maybe help out a certain web-crawler get out of being framed for terrorism.
And apparently there were rumors of a rebooted Iron Fist in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings?
(Again, grain of salt.)
