Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Madripoor? Hell yes! Bring in Tyger Tiger
, too, please! Hell, they could even bring in Roughouse
and Bloodscream
, although that would require a bit more explanation.

The Tyger Tiger page is broken. Try this one.
Anyhoo, was anyone expecting them to plant seeds for the Fox stuff this soon? They were like "oh it's going to be a ways before we get into all those guys we just got," and next thing we know, we're getting S.W.O.R.D., rumors about Doomstadt, Deadpool 3, and now Madripoor. Wonder what happened...
Speaking of S.W.O.R.D., don't we have a page for that one at all?
Your link is broken, too, but I fixed mine, so it's alright. For some reason, when you copy and paste, it literally replaces "á" with the html code and messes with the URL, so you have to copy and paste just the "á" in there to make it work right.
As for the rest this might not even be seeds for the X-Men stuff, since Madripoor has been a part of the rest of the Marvel universe for a while, too. It's just that it's most closely associated with the X-Men and Wolverine in particular.
In any case I totally didn't expect them to wait with seeding mutants into the shows, because that doesn't really take much time. It's making the actual X-Men stuff that will take time and effort.

The deal was completed back in March, so I don't think it's too surprising at this stage. Plenty of time for elements of the former Fox properties to be written into projects that hadn't even started filming at that point.
Especially in this case where they may be simply establishing Madripoor as a place that exists without actually doing anything with Wolverine or the mutants.
I'm guessing that aside from some basic groundwork like this, mutants aren't really going to show up in any meaningful way until we get a lot closer to the MCU X-Men movie

It looks like Marvel has found their Ms. Marvel
, even though we don't know who it is yet.
Then kick that buttface.
Either way, you're hitting something that will hurt, and something that probably deserves it.
One Strip! One Strip!Yep. Don't feed the trolls. It only makes them stronger. Instead, ignore them completely. Nothing makes trolls happier than having another site—or worst of all, mainstream media—complain about them.
Maybe if the big sites like Reddit had some halfway decent moderation, it would be different, but they don't.
Writing a post-post apocalypse LitRPG on RR. Also fanfic stuff. All I can do is offer joke Catharthis suggestions.
But I will bring up two men who were many years ahead of their time in terms of what to do about these types:
Never thought I'd say this, but Jay and Silent Bob are geniuses.
....Unfortunately, these assholes would probably do the same thing to a lot of innocent people, so even this idea wouldn't work.
Especially since it's not like the X-Men themselves would be showing up. Miki Ishikawa from The Terror was cast in an unknown recurring role recently; perhaps she's playing Tyger Tiger.

Someone took another picture of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier filming.
The wall has what looks like a crescent moon, a star, and a lion's head. Those familiar with the countries in the Marvel Universe will know that a crescent moon, star, and lion's head serves as the symbols of the flag of Madripoor. What's Madripoor? The Principality of Madripoor is an island that's featured prominently in X-Men comics and is a big part of Wolverine's history.
They're planting seeds for the mutants, baby!
