Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I shouldn't be surprised but I am.
Aha, googled it. Wakanda was a fake entry for system testing purposes. Someone forgot to remove it before the system went live.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Still disappointed no one did the "Wakanda Challenge" on Trump...
Like creepy stories? Check out my book! Now, while people get mad at batman with the bad god stuff, sometimes I do feel fan and writern seen to be damn set in that superman can do whatever it wants like "he can out run a black hole!, he can survive a super nova, he can hear from a galaxy away!" is seen that people get mad if they dont bload him with power.
And wakanda is listed as trade parner? what is wrong with it? is just a peacefull and poor country, nothing surprising at all
Haven't watched but I can definitely agree there's a lot wrong with Thanos in terms of how the narrative treats him (particularly in proportion to the other characters; I'm looking at you, Vormir scene) and his motives/methods. I'm tempted to say he might be the most overrated character in the franchise.
Self-serious autistic trans gal who loves rock/metal and animation with all her heart. (she/her)Daniel Radcliffe, the boy who lived, may become the man who became Khonshu's champion.
I REALLY want this now.
Well Radcliffe is Jewish in ancestry just like Marc Spector (a.k.a the Moon Knight) so that's a good start.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Can anyone give a resume of who moon knight is?.
And with thanos, I will said best part of him is personality and the acting compared with waht kind of chararter he is.
I mean thanos is a space conqueror and so far almost all of them are imposible to take it seriously, ether they are bland like stphenwolf, or hammy like ronan or hela, so far only zod get gravitas and that is more for having somewhat of a semi-kinda-sorta sympathic motivation of it.
Meanwhile Thanos never act hammy, never just burst into cartoonish villany and he spoke softly so people atach to them.
And about gamora..I think he love her but he love is crusade more, is just is worldview and some chararter cant change that not matter what.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Thanos is a fanatic on is own cause, he can love things but for him the cause is the cause and everything in those paramatters, in the same way a fanatic love is children and expect the best for them...the best of course, being the ideology he already know are truth.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Thanos honestly loved Gamora, and that was, in a way, the worst thing that could've happened to the universe.
Because had Thanos been a selfish, egomanical monster without any love, he still would've been a dangerous villain, but he never would've gotten hold of the Soul Stone.

Moon Knight is essentially Batman with an actual, diagnosed mental illness (instead of the implied but undiagnosed neuroses of Batman himself). A Badass Normal who uses training, gadgets and lots of money to fight crime. However, due to Dissociative Identity Disorder he often loses track and thinks his civilian identity is literally a different person to his superhero self, and depending on the writer there are more personalities that come and go too.
One of these is an Egyptian moon God, Khonshu, however again depending on the writer it's sometimes hinted Khonshu is in fact real and really is talking to Spector.
Basically it depends on how much research any given writer does into D.I.D., and how much they play it realistically versus comic book science. Sometimes he is a normal human in superb condition, sometimes he literally manifests superhuman abilities based on his dominant personality.
It's.... Complicated.

"These 'no-nonsense' solutions of yours just don't hold water in a complex world of jet-powered apes and time travel."Less extreme (fewer personalities and they are generally more cooperative and more or less all good if very much NOT nice) but yes. Again, depending on the writer. Sometimes he never actually has powers at all no matter who he thinks he is at the time.

, claiming the production team never went to Africa...only they did.

There's two of them. One is a rubber sleeve for regular scenes, but they had an additional more detailed one with the dots for closeups and things like when he was recalibrating the plates of his arm.
