Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Man, scrolling through that was a time trip. Does anybody remember Even Stevens? That's So Raven? The Suite Life on Deck?
Do the words Hercules: The Animated Series even mean anything to anybody anymore?

Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position. Now that I think about it, does Disney Plus have Gargoyles?
Cause...well it's Gargoyles. That's some good shit.
Also....Twenty bucks says that if we actually get the Thunderbolts, they're referred to at one point as the Masters of Evil.
Seems only fair.

It kick started the whole MCU and is still arguably one of the best movies in the MCU. Damn near everything about the movie works. Robert Downey Jr. proved he could still act despite his earlier downward spiral, the Iron Man suit looks like it stepped right out of the fucking comic book, Jeff Bridges as Obadiah Stane is still one of the MCU's most compelling villains...

....They live again.
DAAAAA! BUM! BUM! BUM! BUM! DAAAAAAA!!!! DAA! DAH! DAAAAAH!
Banish the spectre of the Goliath Chronicles!!!
Also, considering Weissman managed to get his third season of Young Justice, I can't blame him for thinking Lightning might strike twice.
Hell, with things like Netflix and Disney Plus, he'd really be able to go balls to the walls crazy and the OG Gargoyles got away with a lot of shit in it's day.
It wasn't gory, but there was still a lot more blood in that series than you'd expect for a Saturday morning cartoon show...and one by Disney at that.
One Strip! One Strip!Welp, saw the first two episodes of Gargoyles and I now know why it's so well regarded. Animation? Great. Voice acting? Excellent. Actual story and plot? Amazing.
Also, I failed to remember that David Xanatos was voiced by Will Riker, so that was fun. I kept on wanting him to say how you're wrong
all the time.
