Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

@ fredhot16
Subjective, off course, but a few others things from the UU I liked, in no particular order, and just on top off my head
- Energy Form Ben Grimm
- Evil Reed Richards (Great villain)
- President Ultimate Cap (Ultimate Cap in general, as I've already stated, as he is initially a flawed individual, who later has a lot of development into a true hero)
- Ultimate X-Men Post Ultimatum (Ultimatum was a pile of shit, sure, but the effects it had on the mutant world were nonetheless interesting)
- Ultimate Galactus (Interesting new interpretation, what Movie Galactus should've been, really)
- Ultimate Hulk (again, interesting new interpretation, more emphasis on the 'Monster' part than the 'tragic' one)
As for Inhumans:
I honestly don't know how to salvage them in the MCU. I want neither mutant-lites like in Aos nor these Royal Family assholes.

- It begins with a prologue set in 1999, when Natasha Romanoff was a 15 year old high school student note living in Russia who had straight blonde hair and wore glasses, since she dreamed of being a novel writer.
- Romanoff and her class went on a field trip to a science museum, where she was tasked by her teacher to take photographs of the various exhibits, as well as her classmates posing by them.
- However, while at the insect exhibition, a Meditteranean black widow spider
passes through a machine and unexpectedly harvests an unspecified source of radiation, then dangles down onto Natasha, biting her on the right wrist just as she's about to take another photo.
- Back at home, Natasha starts to feel unwell, and decides to rest in her bedroom. There, she ends up passing out, as the spider bite manifests its radiated venom into her DNA. We're then treated to a high-octane Disney Acid Sequence...
- ...which then transitions into the Avengers: Endgame variant of the Marvel Studios logo.note And after that...
- ...we flash back to Natasha, who awakens the next morning and discovers that her vision is perfect, her hair has turned curly red, and her body has buffed up. Her parents—who are watching an odd news story on TV about the rumors of a "human firefly" with the headline "TO INFINITY AND BEYOND!"—are happily shocked to hear their daughter has gotten much better.
- At school, Natasha discovers her new abilities: she has gained a "spider sense" just like Peter Parker, and her strength and agility have been magnified, leading to a brief fight with a bully. Unlike Spidey though, she does not have the ability to shoot webs.
- Unfortunately, all this causes the entire student body to believe Natasha is a lethal android in disguise... which then spreads to news sources all over the world. Her parents, completely horrified by this revelation, angrily evict her from the Romanoff household.
- Natasha runs across town, depressed and alone, and breaks down in an alleyway. Suddenly, she hears something from a mile away—an armed robbery on a rooftop. Embracing her new abilities, she runs to the scene and jumps high...
- ...and the movie fast forwards 20 years later, one year after the events of Avengers: Infinity War, where the now Black Widow chases and fights a bunch of surviving HYDRA remnants.
That's all I can think up for now. You decide what would happen next...

Apparently in the universe where Peggy becomes Captain America, Steve become Iron Man.
