Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Honestly the Ultimates had more to offer than that. People always point to the flaws of the early 2001 days. The UU went for far longer than that and had more than just Millar work on it.
Certified: 48.0% West Asian, 6.5% South Asian, 15.8% North/West European, 15.7% English, 7.4% Balkan, 6.6% ScandinavianTo be fair, that is because the ultimate just decide "fuck it" and make oficial the tons of incest subtext that have being between the two.
Hell I belive the actor of both wanda and pietro did act like it was that vibe between the two in fact, couple with that delated joke of tony compared the both to flower in the actic....
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Regardless of the justifications, its not exactly something people wanna see.
The thing about the Mark Millar Era is even though its a lot of fun to rag on, regardless it is the most acclaimed & iconic part of the comics era.
So when Millar left things entered a decline that eventually lead to Ultimatum which damaged the line so hard that future attempts to salvage the line proved fruitless.
Its why the only remnant of the line in comics now is Miles & The Maker who's an evil Reed Richards.

Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.Okay, apparently, there's a leaked audition tape for Ms. Marvel's actor.
If it's real, it would confirm two things: there are going to be a New Avengers team and Ms. Marvel is staying an Inhuman, with a "Terrigen mists spread across the globe" still being her original story. However, audition dialogue is often fake, so take this with a huge grain of rice.
In the early seasons of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., some terrigen wound up in the ocean, diluting the water. I remember thinking at the time that it'd be a great surrogate for the Terrigen Cloud in the 616; the terrigen dissolves in the ocean, causing an outbreak in terrigenesis for characters like Kamala Khan.
But the show wound up limiting it to a handful of people who were exposed to terrigen-infused fish oil, and then all the other terrigen was cleaned up or became harmless or something and it stopped being a plot point. So the ship's sailed on that option.

Speak not of the Continuity Snarl, tis a wicked beast
have a listen and have a link to my discord serverIIRC from Ao S the Terrigen was never really 'cleaned up' there are still fish in the ocean and they are still being eaten the only good part was the portion of the crystals that caused any NON Inhuman to turn to stone was filtered out in the dissolving of the crystals in the ocean. They did limit exposure by realizing the source of the outbreak was the fish oil pills and had as many as they could pulled off the shelves but some bottles were missed, Joey got it via fish oil.
Yo-Yo was via fish tacos.
They did hint that there were chances that rain or other water exposure could trigger the transformation Robin's Father was one. Robin herself might have also gotten it via rain.
So they can still go the Ao S route with it being in the water supply.
- That was Markus and McFeely, who are no longer writing for Marvel anymore.
- Agents of SHIELD was apparently one of the most watched things on Disney+ during the test phase in the Netherlands (which may or may not be because AOS was never released in the Netherlands).
- Marvel is clearly trying to tie their movies in with their Disney+ shows. If AOS is on Disney+ (which it clearly will be), I'll bet that it will be easier for them to tie specific characters, i.e. having Quake show up in a movie or Ms. Marvel show.

I feel like it would be really easy for them to use the AOS explanation.
In fact I think it would be really good for Disney+, since everyone would see the new show and read articles like "Agents of SHIELD explains the how Ms. Marvel got her powers!!!"
That whole not having any idea about Agents sorta bugs me.
Is it so hard to have a continuity persons type up a 2 page summery of how anything else in the MCU might affect the film and forward it on to the writers?
Last I heard, the film team communicates quite well. This is Markus and Mcfeely talking, and they're the one's who wrote all 3 Cap films, Thor: the bad one, Endgame, Infinity War and Endgame. They worked very closely with Feige and the Russos for the overall direction, and for the specific projects they worked on.
So my reflexive thought is just that the TV team (of that specific show, at least) just went off in a direction without telling Feige, or it was decided that it'd all be separate.

Which again is from Spider-Man. The only consistently good to decent portion of it.
The Ultimates then had hank Hank be an abusive monster to Hope, Hulk as a cannibal rapist, Natasha as a traitor who killed Hawkeye's family, Hawkeye being a total sociopath, & Captain America saying "You think this A on my head stands for France?"
