Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

This song needs more love.Good point, Wolverine is another one of Marvel's biggest man whores^^
I mean, there was literally this one Arc where he was manipulated into killing half a dozen or so unknown bastard children of him, fathered over the decades.

And I know I'll be crucified for it, but I always found Ultiamte Cap to be a far more engaging and believable character than the one-dimensional boyscout from the mainstream comics

In Priest’s far more popular run it was revealed that Storm and T’Challa have known each other for a long time and even had feelings for each other BUT that they couldn’t be because of their respective responsibilities
I don’t find Cap one dimensional in well written material for him.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersNo, there are no ships that Storm should be a part of because choppy waters and turbulent winds are extremely hazardous to seafaring vessels. The best thing a ship can do is steer clear and chart a safer course.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.I honestly completely forgot about Storm's powers while discussing her place in Marauders currently. I pointed out she'd make a good second in command to keep Kate going, and that's the best reason to have her. Then someone else pointed out that, you know...weather control is pretty useful on a pirate ship...
:smug:Basically. It's a long story involving the X-Men starting (yet another) attempt at a mutant nation, this time with portals connecting it to various global locations, that only mutants can go through. But not everybody recognizes their sovereignty, and so Kate Pride is sailing around the world as a pirate, simultaneously performing some tasks the X-Men need done under the radar with no "official" affiliation to them, and helping mutants in these nations that won't let them leave smuggle themselves out. She's got iceman, pyro, and Storm on board too. And apparently next issue Bishop is joining.
:smug:The only good thing the Ultimate universe had aside from Spider-Man was having Cyclops blast Wolverine into the ground no challenge & kicking him off the team for trying to kill him as well as Jean threatening to Mind Rape him into oblivion if he ever thinks about her sexually again.
Aside from that...... still the same universe that had Nightcrawler become a homophobic religious crusader & Blob cannabalizing Janet.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."The Ultimate Universe design-wise had some interesting ideas.
Plot wise, I still remember the video game Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions where It uses Ultimate Deadpool, and goes out of its way to essentially make him 616 Deadpool in the Ultimate costume. I think that says it all right there.
Like any concept, the Ultimate line had its highs and lows.
We got Miles from it after all.
One Strip! One Strip!

In recent years, Storm has been Wolverine's love interest, which also doesn't really fit.
