Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

You know what, let just asume superboy prime punch hard reaaaaally hard and fuck up MCU fo rsome fucking reason universe and that it.
And if you said something about diferent universe I will said shut up.
"In the MCU, all of the fear and ugliness of the Cold War era (and post Cold War era) was essentially a massive con by HYDRA. "
Kinda but not true since the bad guy(I forget is name) is pretty much a foil of nick fury, hell he turn to hydra in order to be more him but in a greater scale.
HYDRA used the fear of Shield to enact is plan.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"A thought inspired by me getting a volume of the recent run of Power Man and Iron Fist from my universities' book store during a sale.
I hope when Luke & Danny makes a return some day they are portrayed as closer friends. They are such a lovable pair of bros that its rather disheartening that Iron Fist fucked up Danny to the point of making him a target of mockery by everyone, including even Luke.

Zola outright boasted that HYDRA spent decades sowing conflict across the world for the sole purpose of making people afraid enough to surrender their freedom for the sake of security. Their past defeat had taught them that they'd never be able to take freedom away. They needed people to defeat themselves.
- Daredevil
- Daughters of the Dragon (featuring Colleen Wing and Misty Knight)
- Heroes for Hire (featuring Power Man and Iron Fist)
Why would that happen? At all?
You are aware that them getting married doesn't mean that Jessica automatically has to stay at home, right? Like, that's not part of any vows I've ever heard of.
It would also be, how did Nick put it, "a stupid-ass decision"?

Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position. In the comics both Luke & Jessica still run their respective businesses even after getting married & having Dani.
Its why they hired a nanny. To watch over their kid while they worked.
What the hell are you talking about? What bleeding destiny?

I think at this point, we can say that not everything in the comics is going to be in the movies or shows when it comes to adaptations.
We can take stupid ideas from the comics and shoot them behind the barn, is what I'm getting at.
Eh, that's, like, your opinion, man.
I have no problems with them.
Wrong arrow count.

This song needs more love.I still feel that the Hydra twist worked because hell even our own, presumably Hydra-less real US government lied to the public about the missile gap, making everyone afraid.

I liked that twist, too. But I do regret one thing about it: no more S.H.I.E.L.D. has been as a result. Why? I wish it had stayed.
You'll possibly enjoy several seasons of Agents of SHIELD then. They never really went away, they just had to move to a smaller screen and give up on hanging with Avengers.

Time Travel plots (and discussions about said plots) inevitably make my head spin.
Disgusted, but not surprised
