Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Alright, ya two. Break it up.
Andrei, nobody's going to think less of you for liking certain movies we do not. You can have your opinion. This is meant to be a civil place.
Ultimatum, please do not try to say that he's "fishing for sympathy". Not cool, dude.
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.Anyway, with Eternals movie coming up I'm not exactly sold on the concept yet, unless it's an introduction of the wider abstracts of the Marvel's universe,I'd love if they had someone like The Living Tribunal show up somewhere
edit:The only 'dud' Marvel made was the Hulk movie and that's about it

have a listen and have a link to my discord serverThe thing about flying city is that they were trying to prevent world ending scenario
Even if larger chunks hit the ground, well Damage was largely done when the city was ripped up. And later movies say that the country is pretty defunct because of it

Forever liveblogging the Avengers> Well, the Eternals movie apparently has both a budget and people who care, so there is some reason to have hope.
All depends on how the average movie goer sees it,it needs to be a popcorn movie with some pretty out there concepts that don't shoot over the audiences heads
have a listen and have a link to my discord serverHonestly, Feige should just declare Inhumans as non-canon and be done with it.
This piece of garbage should be burned and forgotten, and completely rebooted from scratch in a few years.
Certified: 48.0% West Asian, 6.5% South Asian, 15.8% North/West European, 15.7% English, 7.4% Balkan, 6.6% ScandinavianWhich, in the long run, probably isn't good for the environment. An entire city aerosolized into our atmosphere can't be doing good things for climate change.
Still an improvement over the guaranteed extinction event that Ultron intended, though. Let's not let the perfect be the enemy of the good.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.
Which should've at least resulted in this

The scene in question:
Looking at it, the largest chunks of Sokovia seem to be about the size of a car, which... still wouldn't be good, but I'm not sure if it'd be extinction level event.
Then again, Civil War showed that you could be miles out of the city and still be killed by falling debris. So...
It falls under No Endor Holocaust. All that energy has to go somewhere. (We'll ignore where it came from.)
"Burning up in the atmosphere" means a huge firestorm that incinerates everything for thousands of miles, and creates monster storms that batter the rest of the planet.
You are aware tropes are merely a series of multiple occurrences and not a rule, right? Not every mentor (if he or she is not supposed to be the protagonist) has to die.
Do you have anything solid to base this fear on?
Edit: A not very funny one, sirrah.

Do you really think I just wanted to have sympathy from you all? No. I saw here that most of you can't stand the movies I've named that I've apologized for liking them. And if I like them and that's disturbing to you all, I would apologize for ever liking them.
