Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Yeah pretty much, I guess.
Maybe I need to rewatch the film.
It just seems like, with the exception of a couple scenes (Thor learning about the Infinity Stones; Hawkeye's pep talk to Wanda), regardless of how involved the Avengers are, Tony still seems like the center or focus of whats happening.
Other than having a hand in Ultron's creation and getting the Hulkbuster fight, I don't really think Age of Ultron is more Iron Man's film than anybody else's.
In fact, out of all four Avengers films, I'd argue Age of Ultron is the furthest from being an Iron Man film. The other three all feature him in even more prominence.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! Was bored and looked it up. Tony gets the most screen-time
in Age of Ultron, beating out Steve by six minutes. For comparison's sake, he beat Cap by three minutes in The Avengers (2012) and by four minutes in Endgame. The only Avengers film where Tony didn't have the most screen-time was Infinity War, where both Thanos and Gamora had more screen-time than him.
Yeah, yeah, screen-time isn't everything, but I just think it's neat to talk about.

Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position. Then again, Tony, Natasha and Nebula are dead at the end and in Guardians 3, Quill will have to deal with a version of Gamora that doesn’t know or like him.
Looks like Mark Mothersbaugh is coming back for Thor: Love and Thunder.

Rush Hour had good fight scenes, but the ones in Shanghai Noon and Around the World in 80 Days were extremely choreographed to the point they resembled a dance routine and weren't fun to watch. They likely hired him for the Jackie Chan associations but that actually puts a damper on my expectations for this film as I was hoping for the fight scenes to be closer to The Raid or Sha Po Lang in terms of ferocity.
