Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Yeah. And as I understand it, Carnage and Norman were pretty in synch.
I think Norman got it at first to replace his Goblin powers, but then convinced the symbiote release some kind of tech blockage on his Goblin powers, giving him both....
....which as you can imagine, is not a good situation.
One Strip! One Strip! Not going to post links, but Spider-Man: Far From Home's Twitter page tweeted a promo for the Extended Cut.
Pretty much all the replies are either saying "no, I don't think I will" to demanding Spider-Man stay in the MCU.
And also, beep.
(No clue what it means and all the replies are demanding answers...)

That’s the funny thing about the 3 great loves of Venom’s life.
It’s relationship with Eddie is ultimately toxic for both sides especially as shown in the Donny Cages Venom run, & while it idealizes Peter the latter has made very much clear he wants nothing to do with the former.
Which goes into Flash as he actually wants Venom around & they don’t bring out the worst in each other.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Eh, fair enough.
Actually, remember when I suggested to vote with your wallets and not watch Far From Home's extended cut in theaters?
I wasn't the only one
to have that plan...
CONTEXT: You know how AMC Theaters are doing a thing where you reserve your seats when you buy tickets? Nearly all the seats are vacant. If this doesn't make Sony take the hint, I don't know what will!
Oh, and the Extended Cut's extra footage? It's literally the scenes in the "Peter's to-do list" bonus short reintegrated into the movie itself.
In other words: NO ONE'S MISSING ANYTHING.

It's a rerelease of a two month old movie. I have a feeling it wasn't gonna be seeing huge numbers regardless of the controversy. And, more to the point, the whole theater chart thing just calls to mind the screenshots that totally proved nobody was going to see Captain Marvel.

Yeah. It's gotten to be a bit much.
Heh. I've just noticed how many of the new properties have some ties to the Avengers. I'm very interested to see whatever the cast of the eventual new Avengers flick looks like. There are a lot of characters right now that'd fit.
This. "We're making a powerful moral stand by resisting the urge to waste $17 on a movie we've already seen. Probably 2-3 times, judging by its box office figures."
Even the Avengers: Endgame rerelease only added an extra $22 mil to its sales figures, and that's literally the highest-grossing movie ever made.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.In fairness, I wouldn't think it far-fetched that Sony, being the masters of logic they are, are probably expecting this Extended Cut to make $100-200 million at least.

Flash Venom is one of my favorite Marvel characters period. I would pay some good money to see him in a videogame or film.
