Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

And thus, Spiderman is forgotten.
I literally blame everyone, even if it's unfair.
.....but yeah, WandaVision looks like it's gonna be a crazy ride.
....does it not have a page yet?
One Strip! One Strip!Wanda Vision won’t be our for two years. Plus it hasn’t been filmed yet. Doesn’t that make it too early?
By the way, everyone should read The Vision (2015). It's bleak, depressing, but also so good. Issue #7, "I Too Shall Be Saved By Love," manages to recap the Vision and Scarlet Witch's entire history together in a single issue and be heartbreaking. Here's a small preview.
Magneto is like Norman Osborn. They should avoid immediately jumping to him since he's already been heavily used in previous films, but he needs to eventually be there. And his presence should be felt to some degree (though not as ridiculously as the way the Amazing Spider-Man films had Oscorp be responsible for literally every significant event in the universe).
A dream is nonsense signals interpreted by your brain into something almost resembling coherence.
Cinderella needs to go back to definition school.

That's only one definition of the word.
Merriam Webster's entry on "dream".
In which case my use of hope was practically a synonym so bleh
Also hearts don't strongly desire much, what with lacking the capacity. Take that, figurative language

Disgusted, but not surprisedAre we talking organ hearts or Kingdom Hearts hearts?
Either way I don't trust what they have to say.
This song needs more love. No, what I'm saying is that the song is literally called "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes."
I wasn't being euphemistic.
Yeah. Mags is now way too old at this point.
Also, while I hate the retcon of the twins no longer being his kids, I also have to admit that their relationship with their father had long since stopped going anywhere, but hate on all sides.
I do wish they hadn't retconned them as mutants. True, they were barely connected to the mutant side of things, but still...
One Strip! One Strip! The only good Magneto is the Maximoff's father story I ever read is when he shows up uninvited to Thanksgiving in the Scarlet Witch Vision maxi-series and makes everyone feel uncomfortable.

I wasn’t interested in Wandavision before, but now I am! This looks weird.
I like the way the poster is designed with the shadows and black-and-white and the fake smiles and ‘50s look to convey that it’s a fake reality constructed by Wanda. So many posters are just boring headshots or pictures of the actors now; it’s nice when they put some thought into it.
So this one, Falcon and Winter Soldier, and Loki are the ones I’m planning to see (plus Ms Marvel whenever it’s released). I can pick and choose between What If episodes depending on if an episode’s premise interests me. Definitely want to see Captain Peggy.
