Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Yetide Badaki (Bilquis in American Gods) wants to play Storm[1]
Personally, I want to see her fight with Callisto. That was a pretty epic fight
◊ and it was without powers.
It's hard to be a morally upstanding person while also balancing an insatiable hunger for the blood of the living.
That said, some Marvel vampires manage it. Particularly best vampire, Jubilee.
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Can Moon Knight appear alongside Drac?
◊
Or that time when Storm got back at an ex by ruining his career as a weatherman
◊.

Apparently it's something from Original Sin. Not sure where from there though.
I almost seriously want Frog-Man in the MCU. Like, if there's one thing that gets lost in the transition to film, it's those sincerely ridiculous (and ridiculously sincere) ideas writers come up with to simultaneously make fun of yet totally play straight the silly tropes of the medium.
There need to be... like... more fun lower level events happening adjacent to the characters' adventures. Like say Spidey does some heroics in his next movie to try and re-endear himself to the people, but then it turns out that his big gesture goes ignored because Frog-Man just caught the White Rabbit who blocks down, so nobody noticed.
That page is also written and drawn by Chip Zdarsky, the artist for Sex Criminals and writer the latest run of Howard the Duck and current run of Daredevil and Spider-Man: Life Story. He also recently won an Eisner.
Quickly going back to the Eternals discussion last page: people outside comics didn't know who the Guardians of the Galaxy were, and look at them now. Also, they feel like a nice transition to Phase 4, given that Thanos is related to them and they bring more elements of Marvel's cosmic side.
... And that's called jazz!

I thought Marvel's brand of Vampires was more like Always Lawful Evil.
