Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

You know,I just thought of something,if you wanted to quickly introduce the villains without having to worry about doing introductions they could go the time skip route so the audience assumes Peter has already been fighting them for awhile,so like they introduce them in the middle of the fight at start where's he losing then the narration " So this is how I ended up fighting the Sinister Six"
have a listen and have a link to my discord serverWesley Snipes responds to Mahershali Ali as Blade.
I do hope they give him a cameo at least in the new film.
He caused Halle Berry to be deaf in one ear
He doesn't deserve even a cameo
"It was only when I was in an abusive relationship and blood squirted on the ceiling of my apartment and I lost 80 percent of my hearing in my ear that I realized, I have to break the cycle,” said Berry."
She later revealed the identity of one of her abusers. It was her costar from the critically acclaimed movie Jungle Fever, and former boyfriend, Wesley Snipes. He had hit her so hard that she had lost the ability to hear in her right ear.

have a listen and have a link to my discord serverI remembered the Trapster the other day, and I'd kind of like him to show up, even as a cameo, especially if he's addressed as "Paste Pot Pete".
Also, needless to say, these reveals of upcoming shows and movies have been awesome.
One thought I had RE the real (real) Mandarin is that I think it would be cool to have him as a genuinely good father (and Affably Evil), despite being evil, and have Shang Chi be aware of his evil as part of the backstory, not as a reveal during the movie. Basically, I see him as being presented in a way that invites some comparisons to both Ego and T'Chaka, but with distinct differences.
Killian is infinitely better than Malekith and I have no idea how it could even be considered close. I might even prefer Killian to Vanko.
I walked out on Iron Man 3 when I first saw it in disgust, but when i went back and rewatched it, to give it a fairer shake, I weirdly found Killian to be one of the highlights that time around.
Of the many underdeveloped villains in the MCU, I think Killian is the best of them. with Cross and Kaecilius having the potential to be far better if they were actually given time.
Kaze ni Nare!Cross like anything in that movie suffer for having to shoehorn Scott in there even when is clear he have not buissness in the plot, Kaelicus simple didnt bother with it at all.
In general, origin stories are the weakest movie so far.

Yeah marvel have a issue of trying to make is villian sound serious overall, often too much they are just there so the hero look badass.

Yeah because he is "expendable" which no only make Hank look like a jerk, it waste time training him when hope is more capable that him, it also introduce the problem that cross already figure out what Hank try to do by seen the newspaper about Scott escape and figuring it was him, meaning that Hank botch the whole plan he bring scott about.
Yeah antman wasnt a good movie, the second fix everything tho.

"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"
Its not stupid.
Scott was the impartial element that bridged Hank & Hope so they can get over their own issues. On their own they were never gonna solve anything because their own pride & jackassery prevented them from ever truly working to together.
Scott offered a third eyes view that forced Hank & Hope to actually resolve their issues. Without him the plan would have never went forward.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Okay there's a lot of news to process but can I just say I am so happy about the new Thor movie.
When Valkyrie was given the role of King I figured it was actually just a way to quietly write her out of the overarching plot and relegate her to tertiary roles since at that point Asgard was greatly diminished. But now she's probably going to be a bigger part of the new movie than Chris Hemsworth is. (Not that I don't love Hemsworth!)
You are not alone.

Should I have put that in spoiler tags? It's a super minor tertiary character in Far From Home.
