Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I think its safe to say that Marvel and Star Wars are somewhat exempt from Disney proper's family-friendly image.

x3 Except there is no Mew-Mew anymore, Cap sent it back in time at the end of Endgame.
Of course, they could forge a third hammer and call it Thunderstrike.

I guess you could do the same thing as I proposed for Vampires, they have always been around, but historically have been extremely few in number. Only exploding in population due to recent events.
This is not actually unprecedented in the comics. I'm not sure on the current status of the concept in comics canon, but at least at one point the advent of nuclear weapons was associated with the mutant population skyrocketing.
All they need to do in this change the event from nuclear detonations to something much more recent, an unintended side effect of The Snap for example. That way you could still have people like Charles Xavier and Magneto being around for awhile, but most mutants will have only recently come into their powers.
In all seriousness, I do think the original Mjolnir is going to be reforged. It's pieces were presumably left in the Norwegian field Thor and Loki confronted Hela in, and now all the Asgardians are in Norway now. Eitri might even show up since I doubt he wants to stay all alone in deep space forever. And if anyone knows how to repair the hammer, it's him.

Well, it's not like Mjolnir hasn't needed to be reforged before right? And as someone else pointed out, there's the possibility of Etri fixing it if he gets his hands on the pieces.
One Strip! One Strip!Look, I'm all for more diversity, but Jane Foster as Thor doesn't seem like the best choice to me. Issues with the comics run aside: MCU Jane Foster is an incredibly talented astrophysicist, but she's just not a warrior. I would love to see Valkyrie as Thor, and I would be ok with Sif in the position.
There is no war in Ba Sing Se.

They took Past Mjolnir back into the past.
Where is the Mjolnir coming from for Jane? Are they going to glue the chunks of the broken one back together?
