Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

....how...how many Fantastic Four movies have their been previously?

This makes five.
This song needs more love.....how...how many Fantastic Four movies have their been previously?

Counting the Roger Corman movie, there have been 4 Fantastic Four movies.
Not counting the Corman movie, then there've been 3.
SO I GUESS THE FOURTH/FIFTH TIME'S THE CHARM!

I'd be kinda surprised if he isn't involved somehow, whether it's in the movie or behind the scenes.
FYI this will be the fifth Fantastic Four movie. Just thought you should know.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! The most unexpected things to come out of Hall H today:
- The actual Mandarin will be in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings
- Monica Rambeau will be a part of WandaVision
- Scarlet Witch will be a part of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
- Natalie Portman will return as Jane Father AS THOR in Thor: Love and Thunder
- MOTHERFUCKING BLADE
Wesley Snipes as Whistler would be a relatively neat turn of events, though they'd have to be careful to make sure he's not just playing "old Blade". I'd like to see him as a proverbial Deacon Frost. That would add a neat subtext, because Deacon Frost often has a sort of "evil father figure" relationship to Blade, given it was him who killed his mother and made Blade into the dhampyr he's known as.
So Blade's "father" would be the previous Blade.
"All you Fascists bound to lose."I hate Roger Corman so much.
I hate him. He ruined everything.
Snipes as Whistler would be a great Casting Gag to be honest.
One Strip! One Strip! As for Thor, Chris Hemsworth is a charming dude, so I doubt they'll kick him out anytime soon. I think the hue and cry from Hemsworth fangirls if they ever replaced him would probably blot out the sun.
There's plenty of room for two characters with the same power set. They just made Thor an interesting character again for the most part, so y'know, keep that up AND make his previously bland girlfriend an interesting character as well.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI wonder how much Jason Aaron knew ahead of time. He has Blade as part of his run on Avengers which puts some additional prominence on the guy.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersRandom thought: use Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness as a way to bring Deadpool into the MCU.
At some point in there's a breach into numerous other universes that Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch lock down pretty quickly, but not before some things get through. On a serious level this could introduce the climactic fight of the movie. And maybe, if they want to go this route, could use it as a means to introduce Blade and the Vampires into the MCU (since it might be tricky to explain how they've gone unnoticed thus far).
But then in the second post credit scene, it's revealed that Deadpool and a few members of his supporting cast also made it into the MCU without anyone noticing.
