Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Are we allowed to mention that Iron Man dies yet? Just asking.
Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project!“Iron Man is dead! He’s passed on! This person is no more! He has ceased to be! He’s expired and gone to meet his maker! He’s a stiff! Bereft of life, he rests in peace! If you hadn't nailed him to the perch he’d be pushing up the daisies! His metabolic processes are now history! He’s off the twig! He’s kicked the bucket, he’s shuffled off his mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisible!! THIS IS AN EX-TONY!!”
For particularly big Endgame spoilers I'll personally keep them under wraps.
Also, I'll be quite fine with Riri transitioning into the MCU so long as she's handled alright independent of however the comics may have bungled her.
Self-serious autistic trans gal who loves rock/metal and animation with all her heart. (she/her)Even with the bad writing there's literally no reason to make Ironheart evil that doesn't reek of a desire to Ron the Death Eater her. Yellowjacket is a combination of a man who was canonically a supervillain and one of Hank Pym 's darker spells, so as to not be comparable.

For context in Riri’s hilarious origin:
When she was a kid during school during showing off icons, Riri stood up & showed a picture of a female black astronaut & said she would like to make it big like she did. Her teacher was supportive of her dreams but this upset Riri because she wanted her teacher to put her down because her icon was put down & experienced racism as apart of her struggles.
The teacher said she won’t put down Riri because times have changed since then & people are now more supportive of supporting others in there dreams, especially the dreams of a little black girl who wants to be a scientist.
Riri wouldn’t accept this so she just stood still staring at her teacher with a glare as the women tired to move on with the class. Eventually after several minutes of her glaring fed up, she randomly yells out of frustration “Fine you’ll never be like........ Tony Stark.”
Riri takes this as a challenge, so she finally sits down, & begins writing in her notebook as she mutters “Then I will be Tony Stark.”
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."

While she's a good way of carrying on Tony's legacy, don't we already have Spidey for that sort of thing?
The legend has returned.
