Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Unless they were fighting a space mutant prosecutor trying to sue Earth for a crime. And thus they need earth's finest criminal lawyer...
"All you Fascists bound to lose."Knowing the logic of the comics, Daredevil will be able to fight the villains, even when they represent a threat to the combined forces of the X-Men and the Fantastic Four.
Even in comics, Daredevil's powers can vary from being a Peak Human to being on the same level as Spiderman.

His powers and skills do lend him toward being able to take a supporting role
Sneaking in with his ninja training while everyone is doing the big fight
Forever liveblogging the AvengersIn fact there is a deleted scene in which Black Widow supposedly fights against Thanos.
A normal human gives a fight to the guy who stomped Hulk, Nano-suit Iron Man and Fat Thor.

So I just watched Ant-Man, because I didn't bother with it when it and the sequel aired in the theatres.
My God, why did I skip on this? It's actually pretty damn amazing. It has some of the most creative action sets in MCU and I really love Luis and the gang. I feel like they are some of the best side-characters in the series.
Also, I find Darren Cross oddly sympathetic. I kinda wish he can somehow come back in Antman 3, though I find it unlikely.

Continuously reading, studying, and (hopefully) growing.I still don’t get the hype for Killmonger. It’s honestly really frustrating that I don't. I'm the villain guy. I SHOULD like him. I like most of the other well recieved Marvel Villains, but not him. I’m sitting there looking at the exact same scenes others are seeing, but while everyone else is in awe at the wondrousness of it, I’m just like "Really? THAT’S what people are tripping over themselves to praise?"
Kaze ni Nare!Winter Soldier is my fav of the marvel movies. Cap being my fav Avenger is part of it (I always loved the elevator scene partially because I always felt like his pre-ass kicking one liner was delivered with complete sincerity. He was genuinely asking if anyone wanted to get off the elevator), the espionage thriller tone was another, Winter Soldier's baller theme was another, and the whole Hydra twist was the big one.
Pierce is likeable. He genuinely feels like he respects Nick.
Kaze ni Nare!People like Killmonger because he has a very tragic backstory and motivation deeply linked with a very serious real life issue (that is, white-on-black racism). Film gives him a lot of pathos on that concept, such as the scenes of him and his father. Especially the one in the spirit realm, where you get a legitimate sense of the tragedy within him.
He's also a extremely lethal badass with some amusing mannerisms ("hey auntie!"), so Killmonger ends up hitting that sweet spot where you both pity, fear and laugh with him.
Curioous why you would like Kaecillius though.

The one emotional scene Kaecilius was allowed to have, where he explains his motive and how the Ancient One had been lying to all of them, was my favourite scene in the latter part of Doctor Strange. Plus I found him dryly humourous at points.
I think that's just it with Killmonger. I found him tragic, but not uniquely so. Not "one of the best marvel villains ever" tier. I wasn't a fan of his acting actually. I didn't get that sense of menace of fun that others talk about. He's kinda like Ivan Vanko to me. Both are driven by understandable desires for vengeance, both are complimented by a more over the top secondary villain who supplies them (Hammer and Clawe), both are the hero but evil in terms of their power set, and both represent a dark legacy left over by the main character's parents.
Kaze ni Nare!

I feel like whatever plot would warrant the X-Men and Fantastic Four teaming up would just have Daredevil be like "Hi guys, I'm here too!" only to be met with crickets.
This song needs more love.
