Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

Sure, but that's no reason to curse out Bendis for it.
By the way, for people who want to know what we're talking about, these are the pages in question
. It's a pretty good joke and deconstruction of the normal UST that Spider-Man and Black Cat had in the 616 universe.

Honestly, I find the reaction a little over the top. She didn't know how old he was after all. And it is not like she had sex with him, right? (But then, I live in a country in which relationships between teens and adults aren't necessarily illegal, unless there is a position of power of the adult over the teen involved).
I feel like Black Cat was another Spider-Man related character Bendis did dirty
Like the other superheroes that tried to intervene in the gang war and banded together to be the knights of whatever they were called

I mean, part of that has to do with how she debuted when Peter was in college, i.e. a young adult. There are only two adaptations (the 90's TAS show and the 00's Spec animated show) I can think of where she could conceivably be a teenager, and only 1 (Spec) where she's confirmed to be one according to Word of God.

Sebastian Stan had an interview where he speculated that we could see Bucky try to experience a normal life in the series, which could include going on a date.
Which is something I absolutely want to see, even if it's just one scene and nothing ever comes of it.
Not sure how I feel about Sharon being anyone's love interest in the series. I think she would function best as being Falcon and Winter Soldier's go-to government contact first and foremost. However ultimately the main problem with her relationship to Steve is that the one movie it was featured in didn't have any time to develop it so it felt awkwardly shoehorned in. With likely 3 times the runtime of a feature film, that won't be a problem in the Falcon and Winter Soldier series.
Bucky's a few years behind on how people even go out on a date these days.
He might make a few...faux pas.
That being said, if he got anything from Hydra (besides the horrific mental scarring), it was probably the patience to do a lot of research and that's why we have the internet.
One Strip! One Strip!I'd rather there not be any romance in this series at all if they can help it, and least of all not with Sharon whose biggest problem is that her writing allowed her status as a love interest to define her. Only date I'd accept between her and Bucky is a one-off that ends in mutual disaster with wingman Sam making it worse, just for the sheer hilarity of it. Any more and it's probably too much.

Presumably there’s going to be cast beyond just the three heroes and Zemo so there could be a recurring love interest for Bucky or whoever
Maybe Bucky and Sam date. Maybe Sharon gets a girlfriend. Hard to say at this point

Apparently the writer for Falcon and The Winter Soldier is Malcolm Spellman. Between him and Skogland there's a lot of credits for Empire which I've never personally watched but heard very good things about.
Edit: Never mind, she worked on Boardwalk Empire.
