Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

It still leaves me with my annoyance over them dedicating a large part of the film to a character training and then having the villain just suddenly be an expert for no reason.
There was no indication he was an expert. You don't exactly need that much practice in fight to match someone who only practice fighting for a few days. Also, he had a edge by virtue of his suit being specifically built to be a weapon, whereas Pym's gear doesn't have any integrated weapon.
Tell me about it. One of my favourite parts with him, along with his "I'M GONNA DISINTEGRATE YOU!" Line.^^

Scott is also, most of all, just a burglar rather than a fighter so it's not like we're talking a random guy vs a super soldier.
Also, Cross is distinct of Stane by virtue of being bugnuts (implicitly caused by the Pym particles).
"All you Fascists bound to lose."I do wish there had been a bit of Lampshade Hanging about how Cross is so far gone that, of all the thousands of applications for shrinking technology that could benefit the world, he can only seem to think of ones that turn it into a weapon.
No they're separate people who happen to look alike, nobody knows the Rock's true identity

have a listen and have a link to my discord serverThe results for this weekend's box office aren't in fully yet, but Avengers: Endgame is expected to surpass Infinity War, The Force Awakens, and Titanic by a hair ($2,188,698,638).
If true, Endgame would only need 600 million more to surpass Avatar, and it's still only been in theaters for one week so far.

They probably will recast all the X-Men for when they're introduced in the MCU, it is a new continuity.
She was shrunken a lot in Ant-Man and The Wasp, so i'm not understanding the complaint.
I think the complaint is that Wasp is actually too small. By "Tinkerbell size" I think they mean "3-4 times taller than Ant-Man" which can make for a neat visual contrast. I think it makes more sense for her to be the same size as Ant-Man (easier for filming with), but she does appear much larger in a bunch of other versions.

The theater for my second viewing this past Saturday was packed full, so it wouldn't surprise me at all for it to have a massive second week.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"

Cross does have some perks, though, like the look on his face when Pym Tech implodes.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!
