Welcome to the main discussion thread for the Marvel Cinematic Universe! This pinned post is here to establish some basic guidelines. All of the Media Forum rules
still apply.
- This thread is for talking about the live-action films, TV shows, animated works, and related content that use the Marvel brand, currently owned by Disney.
- While mild digressions are okay, discussion of the comic books should go in this thread
. Extended digressions may be thumped as off-topic.
- Spoilers for new releases should not be discussed without spoiler tagging for at least two weeks. Rather, each title should have a dedicated thread where that sort of conversation is held. We can mention new releases in a general sense, but please be courteous to people who don't want to be spoiled.
If you're posting tagged spoilers, make sure that the film or series is clearly identified outside the spoiler tagging. People need to know what will be spoiled before they choose to read the post.

I peeked at all spoilers for I am a Spoiler Hound
have a listen and have a link to my discord serverPersonally, I don't mind being spoiled because I believe it's a different experience seeing something rather than reading it. It helps me understand plots better.
Now, considering that it's going to be almost three hours, I'm hoping we're getting explanations behind the Infinity Stones. I mean, there has got to be a good reason why they were separated in the first place and using all six for whatever reason isn't the end because there has to be a catch to it.
I peaked just enough so that I could manage my expectations...at least this was the plan. But apparently the excitement is real and I don't want to dig deeper for the caveats.
So, I guess, I'll spend the night telling myself "it is okay, the movie might simply be serviceable, don't expect too much".
…
They better don't kill Cap. and that is an entire non-sequitur. But the one thing I want from the movie is that they don't kill Cap. I won't be able to handle it.
Yeah, just gonna give a friendly reminder that we have a dedicated spoiler thread for a reason.
If anyone reading this thinks they're going to be cute and subtly tease at the ending here: you aren't cute, you aren't clever, you aren't in any way subtle, and you are both an a-hole and a dick.
It wasn't funny when someone spoiled Infinity War in here the very morning I went to see it, it won't be funny if anyone does it again now for Endgame.
And right now, yes this post is directed at Zarius and Lord Vatek. Not saying that you two are a-holes and dicks, but no one is ever as vague as they think they are being. Take it to the spoiler thread.

For clarity on what specifically I was referring to with IW, someone came in here and straight up openly said "I won't spoil anything, but lets just say I'm never going to look at dust the same way again."
Which was, you know, kind of a really shitty thing for someone to do in a place where everyone had committed themselves to not even remotely discussing potentially spoiler stuff outside of the relevant thread.

My comment wasn't intended to subtly tease at anything (at least not to my knowledge it didn't) but you're right.
This song needs more love.Anyway back to great moments: One of my favourite is from The First Avenger when Steve is grieving over Bucky. Honestly, this might be my favourite moment in the whole movie, and that movie has a lot of great moments. It is just that it tells so much just over the setting. I think a lot of people might miss it, but that is the same bar in which the Howling Commandos were formed, where Bucky said that he would follow Steve, not Captain America. The last time we saw it, it was a place of celebration and optimism. And now it is bombed out, showing the harsh realities of war. And then the talk between Steve and Peggy, the last moment they will have outside of battle, and Peggy tells Steve that Bucky's fate wasn't his fault, that Bucky had a choice and Steve should respect it...the same line Steve will quote back to Peggy later on. This scene is basically tying everything about the third act together.
Not really. A lot of former characters plus TV actors were at the premiere.

If we're back to great moments, another favorite of mine is Yondu's funeral.
In fact, that scene is what makes the second Guardians movie better than the first in my eyes: yes, maybe the jokes are repetitive and the structure isn't as sound, but the first movie didn't make me cry.
And making you feel is what art is all about at the end of the day, right?
@The Air Man My spoiler comment wasn't actual spoilers. It was a complete joke. I know as much as everyone who hasn't seen it yet.
Although I do wonder when the pages are going to be editable. After reviews are out and it comes out internationally or when it comes out in America?
